i HATE the way this part is left unwiped

Yeah many vehicles are like that. Personally what infuriates me more is when I spray washer fluid the wipers automatically wipe 5 times, unfortunately the the after 4th wipe the windshield is clear and streak free, but the 5th one makes it streaky again. I try to trick it to only do 4 wipes but my truck seems to have learned my tricks and fails me to do it lol.

You need some new blades for the wipers. Had the same issue and some new Bosch ones fixed it

I do have new high quality ones does the same thing they actually work really well and are way better than my old ones, it’s just that extra wipe the truck naturally does.

Just look up ECOCUT PRO, they're a German product enabling you to shave a tiny fraction of your wipers making them literally good as new. I've got a pair myself, and I've never bought new wipers since. The new ones I have are with the new car...

They've really reduced the size of these significantly. You used to have 6 square inches of it back in the 90s

That’s one of my favorite things about the Mercedes-Benz windshield wipers: they pivot.
