is there a legit way to hire a hitman/assassin?
okay hear me out. i do not want to hire a hitman or assassin and i would never seek one out. i do not advocate the murder of the common people
anyways. that being said. is there? i know a lot of "hitman for hires" are like. set ups and undercover stuff. but like assassin is a real profession to a degree right? im assuming taking an actual hit out on someone requires personal connections with said hitman? but like im so curious if there's an actual way your average run of the mill person could find one. i know some people try to carry out assassinations moreso of their own volition without any outside encouragement so i guess that's why im curious like is it possible to genuinely find one on a dark web sort of thing or would those be setups too? i hope this doesn't go against the rules. im not genuinely asking or how to do it im just curious if there Is a way

I’m guessing it’s just people that know somebody and through gangs or cartels.

It is possible, especially in South America and some parts of Mexico. However the more common route would be to find someone with little to lose, down on their luck, where $50k is gonna change their entire life. People will do a lot for that kinda thing.

Wtf do you think legit means exactly? 🗿
P.S. - Nice try FBI.

I imagine that trying to hire hitmen is basically a dating service for agencies. You meet up in a diner, get to know each other, you show your badge, they show their badge, you both have a laugh about it and then decide whose motel to go back to.

sorry lmao i just used legit for emphasis. probably should've used actual instead

In South america you can just go to a gang and hire a sicario.
In western world it's harder because it's easier for them to get caught so no one will take the job unless it's a furtune. Best chance is to know someone from a crime ridden area

I am surprised I had to read this far to see a reference to the availability of South-American hit men.

It’s like in the movie Horrible Bosses. You hire a guy off Craigslist that is advertising their “wet work” services.

I’ve heard people can hire them through the dark net, but you never hear about that in the news. In the news, it’s always just some guy someone knew

Call AC/DC

Can confirm. What’s really nice is that they are dirt cheap too.

That's only for dirty deeds though.

I believe in the song he pretty much talks about hired assassination as part of the dirty deeds

Funny this post happens the same day I learned about Dalia Dippolito and her dumb plan to kill her husband. So glad she got caught.

Isn’t there still a dark web?

u/Hair-Help-Plea 3d ago
Yep, but hiring a hit man if you don’t know what you’re doing is a great way to lose your money and go to prison, while your target just continues to blissfully live their life, lol

Small time guys like you and I wouldn't be able to find someone reliable. They'd probably do a sloppy job and rat you out for less prison time.
If you had millions, I'm sure there's a network you could tap into if you asked questions like you weren't a fed. But there are many shooters in prison, so it can be achieved.

Please google the hilarious six man hitman conga line situation that happened in china. There are always ways to hire people to do fucked up shit but there is obviously no quality control in contract crime, so……

assassin is not a real profession to any degree unless you're working for a government

Define “legit” for us

it was poor wording on my part. i didn't mean legal or like in a professional setting, i just used legit in place of actual

I’ve seen about every episode of date line and honestly, it’s gotta be a LONG game, throw momma from a train kind of situation and even then, cell towers and motive and that one person that can confirm you were their enemy smh

Underworld folk would have contacts that would undoubtedly be able to find someone reliable and experienced, but with CCTV everywhere and DNA, it would be much harder to get away with it in the long run, now.

There used to be this organization called the mafia, and they had guys who did this kind of work for hire.

People have tried finding some on the darkweb. This has resulted in several arrests since some undercover police posed as hitmen.
The way you find anything off the records is always the same. Word of mouth. You know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who does [insert random service you may require that the law would not be happy about]

Police, yes, this one right here. Jk. It'd be harder in a place with internet constantly monitored, in places with good infrastructure in the internet. Either bribe someone with nothing to lose, or go to the dark web if you want to risk it. Chances of getting caught without major connections, very high. Or go to organized crime, again risky and you need connections.

It exists but it's illegal and a regular person would be more likely to get robbed than to find a criminal willing to take orders from them.

In the west, no an average person is not hiring a professional killer. In third world countries, you would still need to be involved in criminal circles or know people who are. Average people are generally not able to just hire killers, you need to be in the business and running with gangs and shit

There was some case a couple years ago where someone hired someone else to kill their spouce, it fell through and they got caught. But it's definitely something that could happen. Not likely, as in this age its near impossible to do something like that repeatedly- and those who want to kill just do it, not wait for someone to pay them?

I'd imagine any potential hitman would either have to be someone in a gang or someone that you know who's sketchy enough to kill someone for money.
