There is not getting the hype and there is wanting to off yourself because followers on a popular social media platform are being used as a way to measure popularity like the guy you replied to. People can be so dramatic over the smallest things.

I know people who can really write and pivoted to film and tv scripts. They say me that the normal run of the mill writer has to show up with at least 10k followers on all social media or the agent won't even take the call. If you don't self promote as a writer, good book deals are close to impossible to get. That is crazy.
