They’re the anti-Netflix.

Netflix also started with great shows like House of Cards and movies like Beasts of No Nation.

Even before streaming, we all saw Discovery Channel go from great educational content to reality TV.

Everything enshittifies eventually.

What did the CEO say? Netflix is going for midrange/bistro burgers? Better than fast food but not prestige television

Netflix was losing money during those years.

It’s not a secret. It was like that for years.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic.

My point is Netflix put a lot of money into good content early in their life, lost money initially, then became profitable once they started putting out cheaper content.

And Apple is doing the same thing now.

Black Mirror aired on Channel 4 on the UK before it moved to Netflix.

I don't think any British network is involved with Slow Horses.

Netflix stil has great shows.

Most people just want to watch new stuff, not great stuff.
