Is "running fades" slang? I usually drop in on R6 siege drunk occasionally to catch up on lingo while being insulted (which is hilarious) but I haven't heard this one haha

Edit: Jumped back on after this and kept getting called "Gru" by a kid during a match hahaha

Ok, this is my second time seeing “ahh” today and I thought it was a typo

What does the “ahh” mean when people say that for example “looking ahh” is that lookin ass?

Yeah, swearing on TikTok is a no no so people have found ways around that by replacing certain letters in a swear word

As a fan of American football I was really excited to see the tiger throw a spiral without opposable thumbs.

And this is exactly why sloth bears are so aggressive and dangerous even by bear standards: they’re bears with the mindset of a prey animal.

Yes ! Sloth bears are genuinely terrifying. Especially they have been known to maul the face of predators/ humans or basically any threat.

How is having the mindset of prey dangerous?

Prey assume any animal that approaches them is a potential predator, people included. It’s why prey animals are much more jumpy and likely to attack without warning than predatory animals.

Like how horses are easily, severely startled. Prey animal instincts take over.

so predators are safer?

Think of it like this.

A Mountain lion is dangerous, but it has a different mindset than something like an elk.

The lion could potentially kill you, but it has to weigh the risk of being injured in a conflict. If it’s hurt too bad, it’ll never hunt again and will likely starve or possibly die of an infection.

A prey animal? They assume you’re going to kill them as they are often hunted. So if that flight response ever turns to “fight” they will unleash every ounce of power they have against you because if they lose the fight, they die anyway. No sense in being worried about “risking injury” when the alternative is just death.

That very reason moose are considered way more dangerous to be around than wolves, mountain lions, and even bears

man someone should program this in RDR2

I swear muskrats are the most aggressive animals in the game, fuckers are always biting me out of nowhere lol

I was under the impression that they’d programmed bears to run away if you held your ground or is that a gaming myth?

In my experience the grizzlies come out of nowhere and attack haha but the black bears are skittish.

The first time I encountered a grizzly bear in that game, it came flying out of the woods towards me like death on wheels and I was dead before I even knew what killed me. So that was a fun introduction.

will test this once my thermal paste arrives because i don't want to cook my cpu

12

u/randomina7ion 1d ago

so long as they don't want to/ aren't big enough to eat you, then yes.

7

u/dugong07 1d ago

lol the comments are filled with tiger fanboys asking people to find a video of lions doing something proportional

At first I thought she called the tiger "chonker".

Sloth bears are famous for immediately and savagely attacking the face of whatever creature disturbs it. I sure as fuck wouldn't want to run into one, no matter how cute and derpy they look when they are not pissed off

u/Yablo-Yamirez 1d ago

Now I know.

whatever creature disturbs

Elephant, Rhino enters - Sloth bear😰😨😰😨

Those bears are actually very agresive

What is wrong with the bear’s face in the first image? Looks like his nose was ripped off. I get they’re ugly af when angry and their wild ass lips make for some unfortunate faces, but the red where its nose should be makes it look like nightmare fuel.

Just looks like the inside of its mouth to me. Like it's a pretty wide snarl but IIRC they look weird even when they're not showing off their teeth.

18

u/Fafnir13 1d ago

Big floppy lips.  Camera just caught them at a weird moment.

7

u/msdossier 16h ago

It’s just a gnarly ass snarl

18

u/kwakimaki 1d ago

'Running fades'? Look, I know languages constantly evolve and all that but, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It is meaningless. There are already a wealth of words to choose from and that's the best combination?

31

u/Fafnir13 1d ago

It’s ok.  It’s not for us.

These two species have an ancient rivalry as well. Tigers are known to kill Sloth Bears. Sloth Bears are known to kill younger Tigers. But those bears are not to be trifled with. They're incredibly defensive animals. Tigers always try and get the drop on them. But most of the time it fails.

u/awesome_possum007 1d ago

It's Predator literally lol

5

u/Temporary-Gold-6432 1d ago

Gold chain imbedded in his neck? Oh fuck no

2

u/SkullOfOdin 1d ago

In the first picture looks like a Predator Face. I can't imagine facing one of those. I will be 100% death.

2

u/Theobald_4 19h ago

Did that bear’s lip get ripped off? Looks metal.

2

u/GonzoTheWhatever 15h ago

I’ll be honest…

The face on the bear in picture two really looks like he’s about to start singing about the bare necessities 😂

1

u/Redrose_207434 16h ago

The first picture of the sloth bear just made me think of Rudolph and the song

1

u/rshorn 14h ago

Wtf does running fades mean

1

u/ScoutTrooper501st 12h ago

Damn the first one having all the skin of his muzzle ripped off is super metal
