They are also investigating Buddy for allegedly shooting his finger guns at Ja first.

If it turns out that Ja was acting in self defense, you have some apologies to give

Maybe if Ja stood his ground on the court, he wouldn't let Curry shoot 60% from 3.

A lot of his antics did not get enough attention. Does the average NBA redditor know he tweeted to some user "its free to see how hollows feel?" NBA never even acknowledged this.

Morant keeps getting off light. He should not be pushing his luck even with stupid finger gun motions. There's little doubt he pointed a gun at coworkers. Somebody who did that is lucky to still be employed with the same coworkers, and definitely should not be joking around doing finger gun motions.

Ja has to be the second dumbest motherfucker in the league, right behind Draymond Green. Two people who seem to never learn their lesson.

Now, obviously this is dumb and not worth and investigation by anyone but if you're Ja, you gotta learn to stop doing literally anything gun related. Like, come on bro.

u/LexinWeezy 3d ago

This makes Ja look extremely stupid. How many chances you need to not act like a child. You wanna make generational money or keep acting stupid?

Meanwhile the nba put out a press release that its being sponsored by fanduel and draftkings

Nba should just give him a fine as a reminder . Hey, please don't bring this shit up again.

Its too late in the season for a game suspension and wouldn't be fair.

But a monetary fine with a warning saying don't do that again should keep things in check. If not the Grizzlew fans are going to have a bad time come playoffs

I was at the game last night with my girl. Everyone started ducking when the finger blasting started. I felt a tug on my arm and then a whimper...I knew right away she took a stray finger blast.

Why couldn't Ja Morant finger blasted me instead?

u/redbluepurple50 3d ago

Fair or not

Ja has a history of being a wannabe gangster and Silver doesn’t like it. Situational awareness from Ja is at zero. repeat offenders are treated more harshly, that’s how it is in many aspects of life

It’s just them using typical corporate language. It’s not like they’re getting a specialized team together and pooling resources to deal with this. The people responsible for this in the NBA aren’t dropping everything they’re doing to address this, they’ll deal with it when they get to it. Just standard way of talking in a professional setting. I can understand how he would get absolutely zero benefit of the doubt with this kind of thing, but this just feels unnecessary.

But seriously though, how dumb do you have to be? Just stop with anything gun related.

u/grammercali San Francisco Warriors 3d ago

I feel like people are missing the context. He didn't hit a shot and then do finger guns at the Warriors bench. The Warriors hit a shot, Memphis called timeout, and then he did it. The game had been getting chippy before that. He hadn't hit a shot in a while. Given it clearly wasn't a celebration I'm not sure how it can be taken as anything other than a threat.

24

u/dearth_karmic Warriors 3d ago

but this just feels unnecessary.

So do finger guns when you've been suspended over guns.

u/peanut-britle-latte Knicks 3d ago

I'm sorry, I thought this was America.

u/HiNeighbor_ 76ers 3d ago

You're right. It's weird they don't allow actual guns on the court.

Silver should announce r/nba is leading the investigation so we can just give him a public execution and move the team to Vegas already. It’s the only sensible response.
