Mental Health School burnout
Hi everyone! I am currently in high school but i need some advice on burn out. I've always been a straight A, or A & B student, I'd say i'm pretty smart but definitely not top of my class.
Recently i've had 0 energy to do anything, i'm tired all the time, unmotivated, and just don't have energy to even do my work. I've already missed so many days of school because of things like this, it honestly makes me feel like a failure.
Despite being great at school and getting good grades i absolutely hate it, i see no point in it anymore. School isn't even hard so i don't know why i feel this way, im honestly just so tired of being tired and I have no motivation or energy.

Ah, the third quarter slump. I feel ya there. If you’re good with accountability, you could try putting yourself on a reward system. In high school I was super vain and wanted to work out all the time, so I made that my reward. I had to do x before allowing myself to go to the gym.
But it can be anything, drawing, ice cream, video games, etc. When there’s a reward tied to the activity it gives you a goal and thus motivation to get it done, creating a sense of purpose. Also a great life skill to start to cultivate.
But you absolutely have to hold yourself accountable to the standard you set. Elsewise you’ll just do the fun stuff and fuck off on the rest.

Hey! I feel you, I've been at many points like that, I'm about to graduate college, and I've had many moments where I don't feel like doing anything.
First, a lot of the time it isn't just school. It sounds like you are generally unmotivated. For me when that happens my everyday life is also a mess. Not just school. Try establishing some little things in your everyday life. Put your phone away and try to sleep well, and wake up promptly, have basic cleanliness. Take walks, make breakfast. Something simple, it doesn't have to be a lot of things either. Just pick one or two things and focus on them.
I find that having more general order in my life makes it easier to focus academically. I would also say that it's good to make some effort to focus on the subject material. For me it becomes much easier to stimulate caring when you try to see it as more of a hobby. If there's one or two subjects that you are more interested in. Try watching some YouTube videos or something relating to it. When you see schoolwork as less of a necessary chore and more of something interesting, it becomes mountains easier to stay dedicated.
That won't be easy and some things will just be boring. That's alright. Just do what you can.
