I swear at this point the biggest issue I want to get pushed through in my blue state is legalized euthanasia. Because it's not like  I'll have anything left to retire with anyhow.

That's just a good idea in general. Some people have conditions that will never get better, among other things. Having that choice of a painless peaceful way out over suffering til death is simply humane. Too bad traditional thinking makes many blind to the fact

Yeah, I have fibromyalgia and CFS (the latter as a result of long COVID). Once my parents and my cats are gone I want to have the option. In this world there's no hope that people with these conditions will have a chance at a better life.

Edit: Imagine downvoting someone for being sick lmao. This is why life isn't worth it for a lot of us, when the vast majority of humans think anyone with chronic illness is a worthless pile of shit.

They don't actually care about us. They care about the traditional mentality of death always being bad no matter what more than relieving the suffering of those who can barely live because of it. As a species, we're easily a failure for too many reasons to list. Willful ignorance being possibly #1. No surprise some disgusting creature will downvote you for this
