I think this was the first viral video of its kind that I can remember when YouTube was brand spanking new. 2005-06 ish.

I got a tattoo from an artist who met the leprechaun-spotter. I only know this because while I was getting tattooed, I noticed a photo on the wall of the tattoo artist and the dude from the news standing together and asked "holy shit, is that the 'everyone who seen the leprechaun say yeahuh!!' guy?" He confirmed it was the dude and he was pretty shocked I even noticed, also said the dudes goofy attitude seemed genuine and not just an act for the news
