Help! Broken marquee tool in pS2025

My marquee tool's options have been replaced, and I no longer have the option for "Fixed Ratio" or "Fixed Size".

Both options have been replaced with "Generate Image" and "Import Image", which seem to do nothing.

I'm using Ps 26.5.0 and my choices in the options bar are fine.

Rather than such a limited screen shot, can you post one like mine that shows the entire workspace?

Have you tried restarting Ps, rebooting the computer, resetting Ps preferences?

Good call, I’d start by resetting the tool right-click on its icon in the option bar, then if it does not work, reset Photoshop’s preferences manually by dragging the preferences folder to the desktop. This way you can copy them back if it does not work: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
