I don't think the WH's explanation does anything to assuage anybody's concerns .... or maybe hopes?

That’s exactly what we are saying; it’s not a bruise from shaking hands, it’s from an IV that was inserted.

Now why he has a bruise is because his health is shit and he needs a daily cocktail to function. Because no one who touches him is that inexperienced at placing ports that this was a simple fuck up on their end.
