The invariable infighting that can tear the party apart and save us from the future we all foresee in our worst nightmares makes me feel things about your implication I should feel ashamed to feel, but don’t.

There’s a quote that I came across a while back: “I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.”

Like Bette Davis said when Joan Crawford díed: "You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good... Joan Crawford is dead. Good"

Change a few names here and there, and the sentiments will be the same on my behalf

Yes, just like Donny surely did

If you haven't seen it, check out the video where his daughter has cameras come into her childhood bedroom. It is fucking creepy and telling as hell.

Please! You just need to watch "Mommie Dearest" !

as it turns out.. evidently, even though there was an actual movie, there is a strong possibility that Joan Crawford did not abuse her children.. this is explained in her wikipedia article

Let's just say I have a case of Liquid Death: Dead Billionaire. I drink one whenever a billionaire dies, and I'm looking forward to the next can.

I have a bottle of champagne for that day.

Yep. That's Mark Twain.

Or he dies too soon and the party rallies behind Vance, who continues to beat cookie cutter “safe” dem candidates for the next 2 terms.

Vance would only be able to run one more time if Donnie goes Darko before January 2027.

Ahh you’re right. Forgot about the half way point rule.

I get what you’re saying there but I don’t see Vance as being able to hold onto that power. Too many rivals are hoping to be the next demagogue and unable to catch the same fascist lightning in a bottle so I truly hope to see some deep fractures after Trump’s inevitable passing, whenever that may be

I don’t know. I think Vance is a really fast learner. I watched him when he gave his first interviews and they were pretty cringeworthy. In a few months, he was pretty good. I mean his style had improved. My hope is Vance went MAGA because he is ambitious. But, he really isn’t MAGA. If Vance has to take over, then maybe, just maybe, he will lean more towards the center. But then, Trump is Teflon. I don’t see how someone can eat as unhealthy as he does and have all his energy unless that is all a lie too.

Again, he’s just like DeathSantis—not actually capable of rallying the MAGAts. Awkward. Uncharismatic.

and the party rallies behind Vance

lol

Dude isn’t even second in charge right now. You think MAGA will follow him?

No fucking way. Vance has the charisma of a wet fart and is married to a scary brown lady. He doesn’t have the bullshit reality tv glamour that Tr*mp inexplicably does.
