With a Tesla a road trip doesn’t take any longer than a gas vehicle.

Ehhhhh, yeah it does. Especially if you have to charge more than once, and also want to arrive at your destination with a useable charge. Mind you, I don't really care too much about the extra time, but it's nowhere near as fast as gassing up and going.

lol, I have children. We’re stopping every 2-3 hours anyway, so the 10-15 minutes doesn’t feel any different then stopping at a gas station and having to deal with bathroom/snack breaks.

I hear ya. But it's still a longer trip than an ICE. especially when the kiddos can figure out how to hold it, and you need 60% charge at your destination. Again, doesn't really bother me, but let's be real. If you don't have little kids (or a microscopic bladder yourself), it's significantly longer than driving a gas vehicle.

My experience has been surprisingly good, but I live in California where supercharging is plentiful, so definitely a YMMV.
