Looking from Europe, the US as a world leader is dead. It will take decades to recover if even possible. By the time the tarifs are anounced, everyone will just shrug and keep on going without the united states.

Speaking from Australia - a country that has sent soldiers to die alongside Americans in damn near every war they have fought - I could not ever support doing so again.

We no longer have shared values with the US, and they are an unreliable ally. Australia should look to build alliances in the Asia Pacific (including with China) and with Europe. The US is no longer a secure partner; the American Century is over
