Too late for that. I consider Musk to be an enemy agent and will do everything I can to bankrupt that Nazi's businesses.

Yep, boycott ALL THE OLIGARCHS. Boycott Tesla, Cancel Amazon Prime, Stop shopping Amazon. Avoid all major retailers. Buy from companies websites directly or shop local stores. Keep as much of your money in your local economy as possible. Buy from farmer's markets. Spend frugally.

Cancel Amazon Prime

Ahhh, I knew there was a subscription I was missing.

What I have started doing with Amazon Prime because it is hard to replace for some things is ordering stuff daily instead of in bulk. I.e I order my coffee one day at like £6, then my coffee syrup the next day at £11. There is no way they can be making profit when they have to come deliver stuff to me for £6. And our whole family of about 6 or 7 is on Amazon Prime.

Stop using AirBNB too!

AirBnB could have been such a wonderful thing. How quickly it became garbage.

Who could have predicted that a hotel company that owns and operates 0 hotels would be a complete disaster?

The Royal Society fellowship(of Science)has been voting to remove him as a member because of how he’s trying to “delete” all the medical and scientific programs in the Gov agencies which affects, decreases and stops important scientific research. So far, it hasn’t happened.

Choose life.

I read all that in Renton’s voice and it fit perfectly.

Frugal spending is the name of my game. I'm trying to build up my nest as quickly and effectively as possible to try and outlast the inevitable Depression. I'm sure keeping my money in my pockets will hamper the economy, but at this point, it's just survival.

I'd also suggest people do some targeting boycotting too while we're at it. Red States. Take a page out of Canada's book and boycott Jack Daniels, Whiskey, Bourbon, etc...It's pretty easy to know where alcohol is coming from.

Buying from companies websites will still use AWS— we’re all using it right now by being on Reddit.

3

u/JournalistRecent1230 Mar 06 '25

So? We can still impact their bottom-line. And not every website uses AWS. Etsy, Ebay, Shopify, Azure, there are competitors. AWS is not universally used.

That's like saying "since we're giving 50$ to a serial killer, might as well give $200"

Etsy, EBay and Shopify are not competitors of AWS. Azure is, sure. But the point I’m making is that AWS has been allowed to gain such a large percentage of the cloud computing market that you cannot realistically continue to use the internet and avoid it.

Amazon becoming an “everything” company, and others like Meta branching out to buy all its competitors like instagram, and sprawl into other services with things like Marketplace, Messenger, and Dating is all a part of the process by which they become too big to kill.

And for those companies that realistically could be driven to financial ruin, they are not the only asset these billionaires control. Kill Tesla, and Musk still has 5 other companies to fall back on, many of which are government subsidized— by a government he now controls. I know I’m sounding defeatist but the situation truly is bleak.

When billionaires are this rich, their riches are not the kind of thing that is sensitive to boycotts and symbolic campaigns like this— in reality the only thing they are sensitive to is labor, rather than consumer action.

Which is why they have fought so hard to ensure that no real labor union movement has taken hold in this country. If the combined workforces of each of their companies unionized and refused to continue working for them they would be brought to their knees rather quickly.

These companies can only be destroyed from within, or by government action. Which is why they’ve also moved to capture the government. Labor organizing is the only powerful lever the people still have against these assholes, but we’re too disorganized and fearful to utilize it.

I didn't say they were "competitors" you implied all business sites you can shop from are AWS. I was pointing out that's incorrect.

And gotcha, do nothing then and continue giving them all your money. Good plan.

I've heard too many cases of Boycotts. I'm not interested in doing any shopping, but is anything actually happening?

Of anyone, I would expect Musk to burn the ship to the ground on the way out...Whatever was going to ""send him to jail" if Kamala was elected will release if he gets thrown under the bus.

My guess would be he’s guilty of coordinating with a hostile adversary of the United States that is engaged in an active war against an ally of the United States. That’s as close as it gets to violating the big T. It’s treason, I’m talking about Treason.

I'm still stuck on "...He knows those computers better than anybody, those vote counting computers..."

u/Bobcat-Stock Mar 06 '25

Me too. WTF!!

Yuuup.

I think Nathan's analytical approach is the right choice for what they are attempting to do.

The lawsuit won't be directed at him personally. It will be directed at the government and the taxpayer will end up footing the bill when the government loses in court.

Yeah but he's acting on behalf of the government so the government is the one who would get sued, not Musk.
