The obsession with golden visas is making me think an ultimate goal is to expunge not just birthright citizenship for children of immigrants but natural born citizenship altogether. Bought and paid for citizenship would become the only true citizenship. Everyone else is a second class at best, with fewer rights and no voice.

It was really into dystopian cyberpunk as a kid, and I never thought it was mapping out my middle age. whoops.

Thats the point, if everyone and anyone that is not in agreement can be arbitrarily charged without due process it incentives you to not speak up
