New England + New York sounds good to me, as a Mainer. Call it 'Greater New England' or 'The Republic of the Northeast' or freaking 'Yankeeland' for all I care. We'd make a great little country!

r/RepublicofNE is for New Englanders only.

We New Yorkers don't want them because they cheat in the NFL and brigade our subreddits. We have our own independence movement.

Good luck surviving completely alone New York. New England would gladly accept you, but also doesn’t need you.

I'm not grandiose enough to think that a 15 million person country would survive better than a 30 million person country (NY and NJ).
