I think it was reported on a lot, it's just that it makes no goddamn sense to the point where people were like "huh?" and skipped over it.

This was the case for me. I remember hearing about it but not really understanding it or why it mattered. Today, it makes a lot more sense..

It is just that there is so much spam reporting about everything Trump does that the really bad things go unnoticed. This sub is a prime culprit for screaming about everything so that in the end nothing sticks.
