Big tech was built on global supply chains. It is so complex and hard that you need companies across the world working together without trade barriers to make it happen like it has.

The only way it would work is if Trump carved out the policy around places like Taiwan and African companies that provide lithium, which I can see him doing considering every tech billionaire is in his fan club.
Unless that happens, you are 100% right. There probably isn't another industry beside maybe auto that relies on so much stuff coming from so many different places just to make a single product.

The *actual* goal of all this madness is to break down the United States and replace it with the Network-State in which the billionaires and multi-multi-millionaires that own Big Tech will rule their own kingdoms in a neo-techno-feudalism system.
This is not a joke or some hysteria. This is the actual plan and it is being implemented as we speak. They believe that western liberal democracy has failed and needs to be replaced by corporations as countries.
That means no more USA.
