I said this in another post and someone responded “the economy tanked because of Covid!”

Well, yes, and no; the economy tanked because of Trumps lack of a timely response to covid.

“A lot of people are saying itll be gone by Easter!”

Yeah, the economy would have tanked no matter what, look at pretty much everywhere in the world. But the degree of economy-tankage could have been mitigated. Particularly by Trump. Don't forget, US intelligence was telling him how bad it could be in January of 2020, months before anyone else in the world knew. He chose not to say anything, and gave COVID a lot more time to spread before we did anything to stop it.

Had we had those extra months, who knows what might have happened differently? That was the time frame in which places like Italy just exploded with cases.
