Conservative group is not wrong

Conservative group banned from r / conservative.

u/RJ5R 2d ago

Lol yep. I got the boot from there by posting everything trump did that wasn't following conservative principles. You'd think they would want to know about it. They don't. They still think trump is for them, it's hilarious

u/Clarknotclark 2d ago

This is because they don’t have principles. They have interests.

151

u/your-mom-- 2d ago

Their interest is not admitting they're wrong. They know they are but at this point it's sunk cost.

At this point they're just going to blame Hunter Biden's dong, immigrants, and poor people

50

u/Clarknotclark 2d ago

Online yes, but in the real world they have financial and power interests that they are promoting and forcing on the rest of us. It’s class warfare and right now they’re winning

u/Blecki 2d ago

The billionaires aren't on reddit

6

u/Steeltooth493 Indiana 2d ago

But the Muskrat billionaires would like to have their own special blend of content moderation on Reddit for everyone else.

28

u/SillyGoatGruff 2d ago

They may not have principles, but some of them do have convictions

11

u/Clarknotclark 2d ago

Not enough, but we can hope they get convincted more

23

u/tnellysf 2d ago

If he is owning the libs, they do not care how he does it. Anything that upsets Dems is good.

13

u/PeteDontCare 2d ago

These f'ing libs in this damn conservative group!

5

u/Red49er 2d ago

they're also simply....not conservatives, they're regressives/racists/etc.

u/BasicLayer 1d ago

That is exactly what this is. The 'GOP' is no more; the party usurpation is now complete and set in stone. What today is masquerading as the 'republican party' in America is anything but. I challenge anyone who'd voted R this past presidential election to simply Google the early warning signs of fascism and take an honest inventory of what currently is perpetuated by their party.

I guarantee most of them will however allow their emotions to intervene, prohibiting an honest inspection of the warning signs. Most will deny, reject, dismiss. They will whataboutism out of any potential accurate recognition of their and their party's faults mirrored in the warning signs. And this is a key part of what allows fascism to rise -- they reject what does not comport with what they 'feel.'

u/tinysydneh 2d ago

Most of them, their entire "interest" is "fuck them people over dere".

1

u/Particular-County277 2d ago

Thanks for the lol

2

u/kanst 2d ago

They do have principles it's just distinctly not conservative. It's reactionary and anti intellectual.

I feel like the core of MAGA is being mad at educated people telling you what to do. But that ideology leaves bo rooms for experts of their own.

u/malignantz 2d ago

I got banned for posting videotaped quotes of Donald Trump speaking about his daughter. They just don't want to hear the truth. Sad, because I was looking forward to engaging in their unflaired threads. However, they put a stop to that pretty quickly, so I guess it doesn't matter.

u/Phillimon America 2d ago

Did they call you a brigadier or a RINO?

103

u/whomad1215 2d ago

Help help we're being brigaded!

In the sub where you can only comment if you've been approved by the mods, and any dissenting opinions/facts gets you permanently banned

6

u/Cleev 2d ago

I got banned for asking for for a source to support what another commenter was saying.

19

u/thortmb 2d ago

O god, what's a RINO?

36

u/PolygonIsGone 2d ago

Republican In Name Only

18

u/thortmb 2d ago

Wow lol

18

u/SillyGoatGruff 2d ago

For what it's worth, it's a pretty old term that predates trump. DINO is the democrat version

18

u/whatproblems 2d ago

considering the party is taken over by maga, rinos should make thier own republican party

11

u/Full_Boysenberry_198 2d ago

I’ve long said that Trump is the true RINO

10

u/Sigurdshead Canada 2d ago

Yeah, but he calls McConnell a RINO and MAGA eats it up

we would not be in an awful state if by the end of this we had 4 parties instead of 2(and a hair)

🎶With a tow row row row row row to the liberal brigadiers!🎶

35

u/cal_ness 2d ago

It’s hilarious lurking over there and every third comment is about getting downvoted / the conspiracy afoot with renegade downvoters from other subs. Not dissimilar from their leader; thin skinned attention seeking wastoid snowflakes.

20

u/the-spaghetti-wives 2d ago

It's not a true conservative subreddit. It's r/The_Donald rebranded after their rightful ban.

1

u/Capt_Foxch 2d ago

True conservatives have about the same level of political representation as Progressive voters these days.

17

u/throwawtphone 2d ago

R / conservative is the old subreddit the _ donald.

Pretty sure that and r / conspiracy is where they migrated too after it was shut down.

Sucks too, ruined the fun of conspiracy went from hidden aliens bases and bigfeets and junk and stuff to q anon crapolla. Fun no more.

3

u/Maleficent_Target_98 2d ago

Come over to r/paranormal if you want ghost and kind of stuff.

14

u/icanswimforever 2d ago

To be fair, that subreddit is so tightly controlled that it's really just a propaganda place. Not sure it represents much of anything.

9

u/FlyingStealthPotato 2d ago

It helps to realize that words don’t really have a standard meaning as much as they used to. “Conservative”, “liberal”, “left”, “right” all have completely different meanings to different people. I honestly think if you took those blanket words out of the equation, people would realize they agree with each other much more than they disagree. The rich always win the language war.

1

u/dotBombAU 2d ago

I see your problem. You tried to apply logic to a group that runs on emotions.

1

u/4d7e Foreign 2d ago

And then they probably laughed at how much the left crybabies can't accept reality, all while trying to tell themselves that getting poorer is somehow for the best.

1

u/DennisC1986 1d ago

Because they aren't conservatives. They are cultists who will think whatever dear leader tells them to think.

1

u/Clean_Brilliant_8586 1d ago

Even if they don't think he's for them, they think "the libs" are worse. Whatever Trump does, it would have been worse under Democrats. If Trump bankrupts us, Harris would have murdered all of us, individually, in our beds, and made balloon animals out the entrails of our children.

Gay, cross-dressing balloon animals, too.

u/rumbleokc05 2d ago

Interesting. What principle is he not following? Give an example.

75

u/Ja3k_Frost 2d ago

That whole sub is a total joke. You can probably boil 80-90% of all posts and comments into 3 categories.

“I’m going to take a principled stance and say this is bad, I wish trump would stay on message, we’re not like those liberals, we’re free to disagree here”

“Wow the brigades are out in force today, lotta libs in these comments, hi r-politics, you know trumps over the target when we’re being SUPPRESSED!!!”

“Hey look at this news article about a brown/trans person doing something bad”

That’s it, that’s all it is. Though not gonna lie, the “we’re not like liberals, we support free speech and diversity of thought” angle is really funny.

14

u/BRNitalldown 2d ago

Unflaired users comments don’t even show up there. I’m pretty sure upvotes and downvotes don’t work either unless you’re flaired (and presumably not banned). But man, don’t they complain so often.

14

u/Hurtzdonut13 2d ago

If you use a browser that ignores css then you can upvote/downvote.

There was a guy posting earlier on that sub that used to have a flair, but his last posts were removed and he was shadow banned because he disagreed about the tariffs being a 100% good thing and he was so confused because it was the liberals that ban dissent.

3

u/BRNitalldown 2d ago

I’m not familiar with how it really works, but sometimes I link to weeks to months-old posts on that sub which causes the number of hidden comments to go up (of course, they don’t show). So I know there’s engagement, but the votes never change on the post nor in the comments, if that clears it up.

22

u/Cpt_Advil 2d ago

That’s because r / conservative is a fascist subreddit

5

u/shrug_addict 2d ago

Hello fellow conservative! It's obviously leftist brigading! We're all on board!

Brigadeer???? Their favorite new word

1

u/pygmydeathcult 2d ago

How many until the "RINOs" become the majority? Seems appropriately in line with the "not all Christians" and "not all cops" rhetoric from the party of thin blue lines and bibles.

1

u/AINonsense 2d ago

Conservative group banned from r / conservative.

Poor, poor 'conservatives,' constantly 'brigaded' by that 'free speech' they pretend to worship.

1

u/kinkgirlwriter America 1d ago

'free speech'

Flaired Users Only

u/randomluka 2d ago

Half or more of that group are living in la la land thinking this is 11-D chess.
