It’s really amusing in a not funny way how they blame the fentanyl on other countries, like hi, yes it’s coming from somewhere but … it really doesn’t work when you just point the finger everywhere but yourself.

You know what WOULD help fentanyl crisis? Rehabilitation programs instead of criminal records. But that would support those minorities who are far more likely to be arrested for the crime. So nope. Let’s blame Canada!

Exactly. No party in the US is meaningfully addressing substance abuse or more broadly, diseases of despair. There was some success reducing overdoses in my state (Ohio) the past couple years, but I highly doubt the success will be maintained under Trump. All of this still doesn’t address the root of the issue(s) regardless though.
