💻 AMCAS Does the previous cycle app close as soon as the new one opens?

I’m guessing the answer is yes but just hoping I might be able to keep both tabs open to paste from one to the other

No, it remains open during the summer so people can still use the CYMS tool for committing to their schools. Most of this activity is done by July.

Copy and paste your written stuff into a google doc if you need it

Anecdote: know someone who got in on their third cycle at their in-state school a WEEK before the M1 Summer Term started. Apparently what happened was that one of the current admits decided to defer a year to self-explore and that's how the person, who got to the top of the waitlist, got in last second

No. I remember when I started my amcas and even through like August there was still an option to start one for '24-'25
