Use this thread to recommend fics you've been reading this past week and get help on things you've been writing. Please don't just link fics as your entire post, instead make sure to elaborate your thoughts on the piece/issues you're having. As a courtesy when asking for help/suggesting a fic, leave a summary along with the link.
Fics do not necessarily need to be RWBY related, though it is always preferred.
This thread may fill up fast. Consider sorting by New instead of Top or Best to see the most recent posts.
Note: All links must comply with our rules. That means no pure smut/gore/violence just for the sake of it. If they are a part of a story that is fine.

Another old fan novel from 2016 by Hin, cover by Kuma. This time I think referencing little witch academia.
Source: https://www.doujin.com.tw/books/info/31037 Sypnosis reads: There is no Voldemort nor saviors in this world. A story of RWBY in a land of magic.
I wish I could tell y'all the contents of these novels but I have no clue as I don't have access to a physical copy. And they're in Chinese and been out of print for a decade now. Lol.

A few years back I got gifted combat ready for Christmas and I loved it. I didn't get to play it too many times but every time it was fun, I've known about these expansions for a while and I want to get them but first I wanna ask, are all of these worth getting? Or just some? I do have enough money for all 3 but I still want to ask just in case.

I had an idea last night about where yang somehow becomes the META before being sent back to remnant. Basic, but i feel like it would be fun. Also, this idea came about as a VERY late celebration to Rooster Teeth coming back.

Crusaders Quest x RWBY collaboration, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Puzzle of Empires
Knights Chronicle, Gaia Online, SMITE
Paladins: The Game
Black Rock Shooter Fragment, Blue Radio NEO
Basically, Weiss is cursed to turn into a fox, Ruby a wolf, and Jaune a rabbit faunus girl (cause I wanna). And I prefer drawing by hand because I don’t have a good drawing software and I can easily do it in my free time. Sorry if it got washed out slightly, that might be because of the lighting

Very often we discuss Ozpin's actions and background. Is he justified in lying? Is he incompetent? Or does he deserve more credit for delaying Salem for centuries?
However, we barely every talk about Ozpin himself. The Infinite Man. The cool and kind headmaster who is respected by all his peers. His character fascinates me in a way I've only ever felt with Takuto Maruki from Persona 5 Royal. Despite making questionable choices, these two never feel like bad people. Every single one of their actions and words just reeks of kindness. They're always cordial, polite and good-natured. And when they have to do something "bad", you can see in their expressions just how much it bothers them to resort to morally wrong choices.
For example, one scene that is overlooked a lot is when Pyrrha enters the Aura Transfer Machine and nods at Ozpin to activate the machine. He stops for a second and says "I need to hear you say it." This gains a lot more impact upon rewatch after discovering the merge and what it does to the hosts. Both Ozpin and Oscar were forced to welcome another soul into them and Pyrrha was warned that transferring Amber's Aura into her could potentially change her person. She was placed in the same situation as Ozpin and the guy won't force such a terrible experience on her unless she's entirely committed to it. That speaks volumes of him. It's like Coeur once made Jaune say in "Relic of the Future": You're not a bad person, Ozpin. Just someone in a shitty situation.
That last sentence describes Ozpin perfectly. He is a really good person who cares about everyone around him but the entire weight of the world is on his shoulders so people expect him to make perfect decisions and hold him responsible whenever something bad happens. Another reaction you can get is assume he's evil because he does things that get people killed such as not mentioning how the Lamp attracts Grimm and putting a train full of civilians at risk. He had his reasons and he knows it was a bad call but he didn't do it because he wanted to see people getting killed. He did it because he's terrified of betrayal. If we judged people as evil for making mistakes then the entire cast would be full of villains.
That being said, I don't think Ozpin is a decent leader and he makes so many mistakes that I question how the heck this guy managed to fend off Salem for so long. But the credit he deserves without a doubt is he's managed to remain a good person despite living for centuries. He's seen friends killed, has been betrayed by them, and never found a permanent solution for Salem who continues to return over and over to make his life hell for things that were entirely her fault. He had every reason to go mad and lose faith in humanity but her never did.
How do you feel about Ozpin? Are there details about his personality that need to be mentioned in a thread dedicated to him? If so then pls comment!
