I like to think of it the other way around. It means that you have control to make your life soo much better. If you sort out your exercise, diet and sleep, then your brain is going to be biologically healthy, hence suffer less from mental health issues, etc.

So studies stuggest that exercise is the best thing to treat stuff like depression, it's going to help prevent stuff like dementia, etc.

So these things aren't unavoidable illnesses for most people, but things most people can avoid/limit.
