How you know for sure though. The brains quite a black box. I have somatic tinnitus, I will never know what triggered my muscles. I do have thoughts on it nevertheless

Firstly, unless CTE stands for something else, all I can find is Chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

Secondly I cannot find any link between cannabis and CTE, other than the usual sorts of article which look at the effects of CBD and THC on someone who already has CTE.

Thirdly, according to Google, CTE is (in short) caused by blows (trauma) to the head.

Edit. The guy is clearly joking. Just because I state some facts here in my comment doesn't mean I do not understand the joke. I'm adding clarification to what CTE actually is. Most people do not live in a country where the national sport relies heavily on traumatic brain Injury.

Maybe they coughed so hard on a big dab they passed out and hit their head HARD. Know a few stoners who have done that

If you hit the Bong hard enough eventually the Bong starts to hit you - anonymous

That's Post Bongmatic Trauma (PBT) though and studies have shown that a good dose of tacos/burrito relieves any effects

First you drink from the bottle... then the bottle drinks from you.

You're not wrong. I did this to myself recently and now I've got two broken teeth and a broken nose from eating the bathroom sink.

Yes cte is repeated blows to the head usually in football players i think dude was just trolling

Maybe they signed up to play football while they were high and therefore blame all football-related injuries to the state of mind they were in when they signed up (or two weeks before as shown in the linked study).

yo ur profile pic makes this statement so true

1

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '24

I assume they were trolling.

I added some clarification because non-Americans do not know what CTE is.

They were making a joke...

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '24

Yea. I figured after some deductive work.

Not everyone will understand what random 3 letter abbreviations stand for on the Internet.

If I had known what CTE was to begin with I might have understood that initially too.

Unfortunately, I live in a country where our national sport doesn't involve repeated traumatic brain Injury....

Yes, quite unfortunate =)

Mate I believe he's making a joke because both things, traumatic brain injury and smoking huge amounts of weed, are known for making people a little cognitively dim.

I believe OP is just using colorful metaphorical language to explain to use how much he has impaired his cognitive function by smoking weed.

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '24

I know he is making a joke.

I figured that out after looking up what CTE was.

Turns out most people do not know what CTE is.

u/KingMonkOfNarnia Oct 09 '24

He was using CTE as a metaphor for brain damage lololol

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy

Blunt force trauma repeatedly. You're welcome.

u/trashacc0unt Oct 09 '24

I'm sure it changes the brain just not in such a destructive manner

If their national sport is soccer then yes they do. CTE is caused by repeated blows to the head, much like you get from heading the ball.

You know of Susan Shore’s device called Auricle? (not released yet) - Also, how do you know your T is muscle related? I too have somatic T but it could be from protocol meds, damage from loud noise, TMJ, the list could go on.

I have been to ENT with no ear fluid, to audiologist with no hearing loss, dentist and orthodontist that say jaw etc is fine while I had a tight side of my jaw that clicked. My tinnitus changes sides, amplitudes and amount of peeps. This changes along with the stiffness from shoulders to head. Strange thing is I feel snot running down my throat when loosening these muscles or being in upright posture for long time. Perhaps anybody with similar experience sees this and has some advices.
