I am still new to Sts (got the game 2 weeks ago) and probably shouldn't download character mods... but I found the Hermit and he's insanely fun. Def up there with Silent and Defect on my fun scale. I also have been playing a lot of slay the spire together mod with friends and Discord people. There's this booster pack that gives fun together options for the base characters and even some of the modded characters (someone wanted to play "Unchained" - turned out that character had together cards.)

So I'm asking if something like a together expansion exists for the Hermit as well.

Two fairy pots plus lizard tail is almost as crazy as being able to buy dead branch corruption in the same shop. What a wild run, I ended up getting bottled tornado for corruption later, and easily cleared the heart

So with Toy Ornithopter, I'm healing like 61 per Potion.

Only missing Sacred Bark, to be honest.

Do you guys know if it will receive a buff anytime soon so that it is balanced? Jokes aside, I'm currently on ascension 13, got any tips for the last ascension levels?

I've tried putting a difficulty ranking of the elites vs Defect. Taking into account- your current deck when you run into them, their strengths vs counters' available, immediate and long-term risk of ruin. Thoughts? Curious how others would rank them.

I was just wondering if the Devs had ever commented on Pressure Points/Mark.

The concept of Mark is interesting, it's somewhat like a Watcher equivalent of poison, but it's a little odd to me that the only way to apply Mark in the whole game is one card, Pressure Points.

Like there could be a power that passively applies Mark, a potion that applies it, a relic that applies Mark, or even just one or two more Mark cards.

As it is, it feels like a hypothetical Silent whose only poison mechanism is Deadly Poison. You just skip it completely in 99% of games, since there's better things to do. Instead, there's enough poison support to make it a viable part of a lot of builds.

Obviously Watched doesn't need more damage options, but it just feels like an odd inclusion overall, if you removed Pressure Points/Mark from Watcher completely, very little would change.

Have the devs ever said much about this? Like was there orginially more Mark stuff planned that got scrapped, or did they like having it as a unique one-off mechanic?

I'm not super good at the game and i got lucky to have the bandage relic + shuriken and kunai, they carried me the game. + Runnic pyramid rules,.that relic is so strong.

She doesn't know a ton about the game but saw me binging it the past few weeks. I love it haha

It can be strong if 3 out of 60 cards synergizes. But you can be unlucky with the randomly generated 60 cards and find minimal synergy. Prismatic shard is also a double edged sword. Trying to make this a balanced boss relic. What do you think?

I've completed early ascensions levels with the other three characters but with The Watcher I can't complete it on the base difficulty. I can fly through the first area, but on the second area I can never get enough block to survive elites, the boss, and even sometimes just normal fights. Any tips? I try and keep a small hand of 15-20 cards and get a decent amount of power, but I can't accumulate enough block to keep in the game...

i think it's good early game due to having mostly starter cards and not much else to play anyway, but with some energy generation later on it can still have an effect. i should add that it can't highlight unplayable cards. random buffs can be a point of strength, dex, focus for defect, or certain character specific buffs from skills and powers. (inflame would be ok, demon form would be op i think)

I love this game. What's the most satisfying scenario in the game for you?

A20d all characters on computer and took a break, recently got it on mobile for when I'm out and about. First time I've managed to hit two elites in a Neow's. Early black star into claw heart win is cherry on top.

How t’f do I beat the spire???? I tried following guides and utilizing the proper cards for setups. I got to the spire many times in a row just to die again and again with the watcher. There is something I’m missing. I try to mix it up and have some blocks or more blocks (I always remove the starter block cards btw.) The other fighters were relatively easier IMO, but when it came to the watcher, I don’t even have a chance after the third or fourth rotation.
