IRL I do rural land survey. I found where John Snowrunner lives
default GMC truck, International loadstar, and an old kenworth all just waiting to be hauled back to the garage…

One van or maintenance addon might not be enough to get these going. An articulated platform or two might do it for the lighter trucks but I'm at a loss for the Kenny. What would the pros do? Get her fixed to a rolling state to haul back to service?

No dude. The trucks are just waiting for their owner to arrive from the garage 3 maps over with a big crane...

I've always wondered, what are you guys looking at through those things on tripods?

Typically I am shooting lasers to a target to measure angles and distances for creating maps

Used to do Land Surveying in the early 00’s. Miss seeing stuff like that in the woods. Don’t miss setting concrete monuments or doing perc tests at all 😂
Was on one job site that I had my first paranormal event and I got lost in the woods for the first and only time in my life. This was pre smartphones.

I hate seeing awesome vehicles like this sitting in disrepair in some random yard. I know, there's maintenance, knowledge, and costs involved but doesn't it make any less crappy to see them in this state.
