Screenshot Do you ever wonder how task trailers got there in the first place? Like these oil thieves that somehow got a fuel semi BACKWARDS through a swamp barely traversable by a giant army truck, without getting caught.

The truck with highway tires, rwd and no lift stuck in a place you struggle to get to with all of those things. Theres always one

The description for the "Trucks and Investigations" missions, about someone tapping a pipeline and getting away after leaving their trailer behind, made me expect something small. Instead I find their very big trailer on the other side of a deep bog. How did they back a trailer though THAT?

Around the minute 1:20 mark you can see something that actually happened on real life, a bunch of people got caught illegally moving oil and gas.
I can totally imagine somebody driving and they get a call that they are about to be followed, and just reverse into somewhere to drop the cargo to then run away.
We have to remember snowrunner is "frozen" on time, and that climate gets better and worse, it would be normal that some streets get drier and more drivable sometimes.
But ofc, this is nothing more than speculation and headcanon.

I also figure that the groups who contract the Snowrunner to fix all their problems in an area do it for places with low populations. Remote research bases, drilling operations, gas lines, so you hardly see anyone. Some places have abandoned cars, helicopters and there's no point salvaging the wreck or cleaning up so far from resources.

Maybe it was a bit colder and fully frozen over at the time? Alaska doesn’t seem like it’s in the dead of winter with all of the meltwater streams and open bogs and lakes, it could’ve happened weeks or months ago and they just now have someone out there that can pull the semi through mud or deep snow.

Dude, I just pulled up on this trailer and thought the same thing. They stole my joy, that's for sure.

I was scouting White Valley with the fleetstar, which was otherwise a pretty casual cruise. I rolled up to the task's marker, and got a creeping sense of dread seeing the mud that was immediately vindicated when I dripped one tire in and it sunk past the axel. I immediately NOPE'd out and said "maybe later".
Which wasn't that much later after I successfully fished the Derry directly up its slope using a P12 and super-heavy crane perilously wedged against the rocks.

I used the Cat 745c to drive down to the longhorn, but couldn't find a good path back up, so I just dragged it toward the destination, and when I got to the bridge I hadn't repaired yet, I just dragged it past on the side, then dragged it all the way to the garage.
It's a real "look what the cat can drag in" situation.

I got away with only going through half of it by climbing out of the side as the screenshot shows. Even then, getting the Derry that half way (after backing through the mud!) was very slow with lots of winching. That's WITH the unchained OHD I tires for maximum mud grip.

Just been using this truck for the last contract in Kola and it's been quite a pain because of it's steering angle. How do you feel about good ol' Derry?

Its shit compared to the buyable one with engine upgrade.

I just got the Derry Longhorn yesterday and immediately used it for this. I am in the honeymoon phase of being too drunk with power driving that combination of permanent diff lock, massive wheels, and high top speed to be dissuaded by small things like turning radius. Perhaps I'll feel the pain next week.

Just did a mission in Imandra and had to turn this thing around in a tight spot with a heavy trailer. Belive me, it's a nightmare. Some tighter curves too. But I did like powering through pretty much everything I could throw at it. Wish they made it a bit better though. I love it's looks.

That truck has never failed me.... It's kind of amazing considering his lack of mud tires. It just gets. the. job. done...
I have plenty of "better" trucks in my stable, but when I need a high saddle and my axov 7 is otherwise occupied, I still call on the old Derry.. because he will get it done.... Eventually....

Great to see someone is using Derry. I am playing vanilla so I can only use trucks given and I love the old good Derry. I keep it very busy in some jobs in Alaska. Finishing soon 😁

I always joke that the Transtar driver was the victim of a mob hit. Trucks fully busted buried out in the middle of a swamp it couldn't possibly make it to.

Based on the mountains and hurricane damage in Wisconsin, there has been some huge global cataclysm of biblical proportions.
