This might help:

You're on the orange route, better than the red one but a lot harder than the green one.

Yep. The ground is usually dirt when you go cross-country (although in some areas it's snow or even blue snow), which is a lot easier than muddy roads :)

I just used the p12or p16, whichever is diff lock only. Starting at garage start to finish took maybe 15-20mins. Hug that right side and use the trees to your advantage. Just started Alaska this is my 4th playthrough

I love that Azov, but just seeing how far down in the mud it's chin is you know you're gonna struggle.

Did this contract twice, both with the P16 and hugged the right side (where you are now) abusing the winch. A few minutes adventurous, but nothing scary
