Screenshot Post #2 - this took sooo long and I did it wrong!

So I've really struggled getting the long logs even transported here. This is the wrong vehicle to get into the quarry in. But now I've finally made it, with the long logs and I'm getting no cargo to unload message!

I've even had to make a support vehicle just to put the logs in here as the crane wouldn't work with the long trailer.

Please help me. I thought I was doing well.

You're ALMOST there! Bring a truck with a long log addon/trailer and a log crane, pick up the logs and pack them in the log addon and you're done!

This method isn't really worth it for only 1 load but when you have to carry like 9 logs in total it saves a lot of time

I'm ASD, I'm finding it a bit confusing, there are several log add ons and I don't know which truck I can fit those to. I'm really sorry, but could you make it really simple for me? Which truck, which front part and which trailer will allow me to do that? I'm only level 6 so a lot of the trucks are still locked.

I have searched, but I saw someone pointed out it could be done this way (which seemed simplest) but the crane and low thing couldn't be fit together on this caterpillar (CT681) truck.

Edit : Thank you for your help though.

Okay so. To transport long logs, you need a truck with a long log addon (the thing you put on the frame of the truck) and a long log trailer. Pretty sure they are called like that. With that combination, you can transport long logs that can be delivered. Most trucks can carry them but it's recommended to use powerful ones

I see that someone else has given you a list of trucks that can have both the long log gear AND a crane. Now with that truck, you just have to put the logs from your sideboard trailer on the long log stuff and pack them

Thank you, it's the long log frame part I can't find, (perhaps it's because I've not had one of those specific trucks). There are a few, but not one called long log. I'll have a look tomorrow. But I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

I appreciate all the help from this community.

Long log carrier is a two part carrier. Truck addon part looks like a square without the top. NOT a cage. The trailer part a very simple piece. A shaft that connects the truck to the trailers only axle with a matching square without a top attached to the top of the trailers axel. So the front of the long logs will be through the addon and the trailer will be holding the logs at maybe the 3/4 mark. So when you’re all packed up you have a full semi trailer made out of logs.

To transport long logs you require both the Log Carrier Front and Log Carrier Rear.

Log carrier front is an addon that you put on the truck, buy and equip it in the garage.

Log carrier rear is a trailer that you attach/buy from the store, but you MUST have the front part equipped on the truck to use it.

Thank you. Going to get some sleep as this took far longer than I anticipated. I'll try this tomorrow.

Don't give up my guy. This is a really fun game once you figured out a few things . This community is wonderful and full of help.

You really shouldn't be doing logging at level 6. They added logs as afterthought to older regions when the Season 3 came out with all the logging. The target audience was experienced players who have done it all and just want to go back once more and revisit already completed locations.

Trying to get this truck to the bottom of the quarry I was thinking..... This can't be right!

In almost all cases cargo must be PACKED for it to be handed in. You'll need to put those logs onto a long log carrier to be able to pack them. Azov 7, Big Kenny, P12, P512PF, Paystar 5600TS, Mastodon, Brigadier, Mack M917, Step Pike and the Western Star 47X 1430 can equip the long log front together with the loglift crane

If I reverse out and try and pack the cargo I get unknown problem.

Oh. Wow, yes, you did it very wrong. On the other hand, getting the correct truck with the log attachment (looks like a 2-pronged pitchfork), crane and log cart (same as the attachment) to the quarry will be easier without cargo.

In the future, your cargo needs to be packed to be unloaded on site. If you can't pack it, you have the wrong gear.

That said, I recommend you leave it to later, when you've gotten a look at the other maps in the area and more experience.

Welcome to Snowrunner!

How did you do to stick a « Maprunner » sticker on the hood ????

It’s on of the in game stickers. Was released as part of a recent dlc, can’t remember which one exactly

Just found it in customise. Long way down. External stickers. Just called runner.

Not wrong, just half right 😁, I only do it if its 3 or more packed logs. Or if its 2 short 3 medium I deliver a truck with 1mediums addon +1 short trailer and the rest will go like you did since the truck to deliver is already there.

I don’t remember doing this but it obviously went okay.
That said I didn’t do logging early on, I tried it in Black River or Smithville Dam or both but it didn’t work out.
Did some work in Alaska and Taymyr, got a higher level, got upgrades, went back to Michigan.
Tested some trucks and combos for myself in Black River and delivered to the other 3 or even all 4 maps.
I didn’t fit any cranes, personal choice.

Has the ‘cheat’ method been misdescribed? because despite how many times it’s been posted there are loads of people who do it wrong.
I’m not judging anyone, people can play their own game however they please.

I was in co-op and tasked with helping with the Timber For The Locals or something or other.
I got the medium log add-on and trailer, but they didn’t want me to autoload and they only loaded me up with 3 logs, and they couldn’t understand why they fell out when I drove off.
I didn’t realise what they were doing at first and when I realised, I said that wouldn’t work, but they wanted me to do it anyway, and then they fell out.
So I packed them properly and delivered two loads to the town stores, but for the amount of effort involved I don’t think it’s worth using the ‘cheat’ method in Black River.
It really was quicker and efficient to just autoload and go.

As for using the cheat method anywhere in Michigan, I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️, it’s up to people how they play.
I enjoyed the driving too, even the slogg to Island Lake.
