I took a few radish seeds out of my sprouting container after soaking them over night and planted them in an old egg carton. It’s been four days and I’m seeing some little guys pop up

I'm fairly new to sprouting. Months ago I got my daughter (who lives far away) some sprouting jars too because she liked mine.. I figured she'd get her own seeds/beans that she'd like to sprout for herself, so I didn't include any.
I'm putting in an order and I asked her if she'd like me to order her anything...
Turns out she hasn't used them yet, and says she likes "the ones with the big chunky dark green leaves"
I have no clue which ones she may be referring to.
Any guesses/suggestions?
[I asked her to find some images online to see if she can find the name, but it may take too long (she's very busy at work atm).]
TIA 🙏

I had extra sprouts that had been begin to grow too many roots, and so I decided to juice them. I got about a cup of broccoli sprout juice. This is by far the most horrendously disgusting juice I’ve had.
It does have so many potent antioxidants though, and im wondering if any of you have any thoughts as to how to make it less gross.
What can I add to it to make it better tasting?

Hey guys first time sprouting. Wanted to know if my sprouts look edible. They don't smell bad, just not sure if they should be a darker colour at the bottom.

I'm trying to sprout my own mung beans and I did them in mason jars with blackout covers and mesh tops upside down. I was waiting for them to get a bit bigger (like in the grocery store) but they just started getting leaves and roots. Are these fine to eat and also any tips for how to get the stems longer/thicker?

for my school project im investigating the effect of soil ph on soybean growth. before the growing part, ill have to first germinate the soybean seeds. any advice on how to germinate asap? as it seems im struggling with my method: soaking in water for 20 hours then germinating in damp cotton balls. did i soak for too long? is cotton not the best medium? is it better to be exposed to light or not? help would be greatly appreciated, as to how to have a successful fast germination process!

Has anyone tried sprouting in mason jars larger than the quart size? I feel like if I did batches in a 1/2 gallon jar, it'd be easier than 3 or 4 quart ones, but I don't want to start losing harvests due to rot and wondered if that would be likelier in a larger container.

I've been doing sprouts every week for about 2 months now and for the second batch in a row some of my sprouts have black spots or black around the leaf edge. I threw out the last batch because they had a bit of an unusual smell. This batch doesn't smell and there are less sprouts with spots. What am I doing wrong? If they don't have a smell are they safe to eat?
It is a mix of broccoli and alfalfa sprouts. I soak them for 4-6 hours, then rinse twice a day for 5-6 days until they look ready to eat. I rinse them with cool tap water and shake the jar really well to get as much water as possible out, then leave the the jar upside down so the sprouts are sitting in a puddle. I keep them in front of my sink, which is bright but doesn't get sunlight. I usually put them in a window sill with indirect light for a few hours the last 2 days to let them get green.
Thanks!!

Hi all!
Been sprouting lentils and buckwheat for a while now, and i love it. Been wondering to try to peanuts, any advices on how hard or easy it is to sprout organic/non organic peanuts? Also wondering if the ones without the red skin can sprout. Im looking for really easy sprouting like my other two little friends. No effort!
Cheers!

Overall it is pretty cold where I’m at where the temperature is between 45-68 Farenheit right now. I was wondering if dehydrating rice at 90 degrees Farenheit would stop my rice from sprouting? I “bloomed” wild rice at 105 degrees in soaked water (put the whole jar in the dehydrator) and it was perfect.
However I know sprouting is a bit different. Should I be worried to just sprout normally? Or would dehydrating at 90 degrees while it soaks helpful at all… or even after I rinsed?
I’m assuming the safe route is best, but I’ve had sunflower seeds and quinoa not sprout all the way (like 60-70%) so thought I’d ask. Ty!

What is the best way to mass produce lentil sprouts? I have chickens & goats and they go crazy for sprouts.
