Help with connecting Korgs

Post image

How do I connect all three of my Korg together and have the sound play through heads phones. I have the cables for the sync in and out but what else do I need?

I have read I’ll need a mixer, but what’s cables will I need for it.

Beats = mono

FM and Drum = Stereo.

Get 1/8 to 1/4 cables and run then to a mixer.

You can get a mixer cheap second hand.

Sounds like the Korg Volca Mix would be perfect for this setup. Comes with all the cables you would need to connect everything.

There are other options that have more features and/or are less expensive but the Volca mix has a very low barrier to entry.

It'll depend on the mixer, you'll need either a 3.5 mm cable -- the normal headphone type of cable-- or you might need some 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch adapters or possibly break out adapters, which split a stereo signal into left and right mono signals. If you post the mixer you're looking at getting we can provide more accurate help.

Get two of these, one for the volca FM and one for the volca keys. You'll run them into lines 5/6 and lines 7/8. Then get one of these for the beats, you can run it into line 1.

Thanks for your help, but I ended up just buying the Korg mixer. I’ll probably end up upgrading to other synths down the line anyway.

You’ll need a mixer to hear them all. If you have a little practice amp with an aux in that’s two going. If you have a headphone splitter some of those work in reverse as an input splitter. The little $30 donner mixer will work if you can’t find anything at the house. Don’t give up!
