I’m a guitar and bass player. I can with 90% confidence say, that the first two bars are neither. Also, it’s played on a keytar live

Oh the first two measures? you are right.

It sounds like a formanty type of choir patch layered with some sort of fm type bell patch. Very stock yamaha rompler preset vibe.

It’s probably a preset on whatever keytar the player is playing though.

The keytar he uses is a midi controller, so it’s some kind of external hardware
