Lightwave as an Internet option?
Looks like Lightwave or Xfinity are my only gigabit options. Any major ‘oh hell no’ opinions on Lightwave since I’d rather them than Xfinity?

Anyone know where I can visit a showroom and look at various Kitchen Sink options? I.e. stainless Steel, stone-composite. Looking for somewhere with a decent selection to view.
Thanks!

I've been feeling nostalgic lately and want to listen to the songs that were playing on The radio on the way to school in 2002. My mom always used to listen to funky monkey. I've found some playlists on Spotify, but is there anywhere I could find an actual catalogue of the songs they played?

I’ve gotten my windshield cracked TWICE from debris going southbound towards DuPont. It’s getting out of hand! Where do we file some sort of complaint or bring it up to the correct people for their awareness? Something needs to be done. 🤦🏽♂️

Our daughter was accepted into the SAIL highly capable program for next year. This would mean she would need to switch schools to Mann Elementary. I'm hesitant to pull her from her social peer group, so I am curious to hear about others experiences with the SAIL program. Is it worth it to switch schools vs stay in general ed? How much extra instruction does it actually give? She is consistently top of her class and I'm worried about her getting bored as time goes on.

Great opportunity to socialize with folks in this space, and play with one of the few cool federal agencies out there.

Good evening,
I run a program where I donate paperback books to jails across Washington State. I'm donating 260+ books to a Snohomish County Jail this weekend. After speaking with the correctional officers, they suggested that I bring books in Spanish. Unfortunately, I don't have any books in Spanish. Hence why I am coming to Reddit. If anyone has any paperback books on Spanish and English comprehension (that way, inmates have an opportunity to educate themselves), or just any books in Spanish.
Please keep this post friendly. While there are a lot of bad people currently sitting in jails, not everyone is bad. We all deserve a second chance at redemption.

Anyone know of any protests in Tacoma this weekend?

I'm looking for a local store that sells more natural/women's health-focused intimacy supplies. I'm not interested in Lovers or Castle or 'sex shops'. I remember there used to be one on Pacific by Indochine but they've been closed for a while. I'm wracking my brain trying to remember that shop. It had household cleaning supplies, perfume, makeup, self care. I think it was a sister shop of a boutique

Hi guys wondering if anybody has an experience with woodpeckers pecking on the furnace chimney cap on the roof and how to get this to stop. Just had this wake me out my sleep legit thought somebody broke into my house and was jackhammering, was looking all over the house for the noise.

They're in English & Spanish. Seen quite a few. Ironically just down the street from the detention center.
Title. Let me gather some of the opinions of you all.

I really enjoy Korean barbecue. There is a place in Lynnwood that had the grills in front of you, but the staff cook for you. They also have dishes that back of house can cook and bring out to you.
Are there any places in Tacoma like this? Korean barbecue that is not just grill yourself?

The next Stadium Trash Pickup event is Saturday, April 5 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Meet at the Umpqua Bank parking lot at 601 N 1st St, Tacoma, WA 98403. All supplies are provided. You'll be placed in a small group and given a route to follow. It's fun and a good way to meet new people. Suitable for all ages. Typically snacks provided afterwards.

Board game night. Thursdays. 6pm. Beer Star.
Come play games, chat and meet new folks. :)
We usually set up just inside along the back wall, you'll see a few tables covered in games. I'll try my best to keep an eye out and greet new folks.
The regulars are wonderful and we're always excited to see new faces, everyone is welcome! We've been playing a wide range of games, from casual to more complex and I'm always happy to teach (others are too) if you're playing something new. Feel free to bring your favorite games, or anything you want to try out. Don't feel pressured to bring anything though, we'll have plenty of games for everyone to use. All you need to bring is yourself!
The bar has a variety of drinks, including some tasty non-alcoholic options. There are some small snacks inside, you can also bring your own food if you don't quite have time to eat before. I believe food trucks are back starting sometime soon..
Shoot me a message if you have questions, concerns, or if you'd like to show up early and help me reserve some tables.
Hope to see y'all there!

I sold these little books (253 Books) about things to do in the Tacoma area these past couple of years. The books have run their course and I'm getting out of the local book making business: the loose women, all night raves, fast cars, drugs, etc.
Today I put the extra books in Little Libraries around Tacoma. Grab a few and enjoy!

I have a 1963 Rambler that needs some basic maintenance stuff done. I'm looking for a shop that caters to the older cars. I'm not looking for mobile mechanics or part time side job mechanics. I’ve tried Google and the few shops I spoke with don’t seem interested in working on it. So who has the best shop?

Hey there! Odd question - I’m looking for some manzanita wood/branches for my parrots. Does anyone have any that they are looking to part with or know where I can purchase locally? Thank you!
