Just because your church doesn't doesn't mean there hasn't been concentrated efforts by churches to sweep sexual assault under the rug. Look at what the Boston Globe's Spotlight team uncovered.

I’m not catholic so I won’t speak for Catholicism. But I’m a Christian regardless and I know that most Christian’s are not abusers and anyone who abusers a child or person should be in jail.

God Himself doesn’t take kindly to people who abuse children. That’s in the Bible.
