Celis is now consulting?

I’ve been in the industry for over 10 years and am very versed in Christine Celis’ family history and her current work ethic/ community discourse and … call me crazy, but HOW in the world does a brewery that has gone or almost gone bankrupt multiple times, has terrible employee relations, and has a “not so sterling” reputation within the industry go into brewery consulting and marketing management (Lone Star)? I mean, her ethics have been brought up multiple times in this subreddit and I have never seen them as positive… ? Please help me understand because surely breweries are doing their research on her before actually partnering right?! The Austin craft beer industry is already struggling and to think that a serial “bankrupter” is leading the “troups” does not bode well. Does anyone have any insights? What is going on!?

I was under the impression that she was no longer involved at Celis. New management. New business practices. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I could be wrong.

Thank goodness you are right! I was not referring to the brewery at all.

She knows no shame. She can't keep a business afloat but maybe she can swindle other business owners to hand over some of their hard earned capital with the hopes she'll turn it into more capital? This way she's off the hook if it fails.

I suspect not everyone is as familiar with her history.

That is exactly what I am talking about… she uses the “bankrupt/ no need to pay people but can carry on with her name while ruining people’s careers… I know many in the industry she has done this to and it really should be more well known. Sorry to dog on a “name” but that woman ruined it.. I’m just wondering how she keeps doing it over and over and over again.

Probably… it’s a shameful topic and I can’t be the only one.

This seems like direct targeting / harassment of a specific person in the Texas beer community. You clearly dislike her, but why would you call her out on social media to 1000s of people for taking a job with a different company.

Yea. One would think so unless you have dealt with it directly. Then it seems like a good bit of advice you wished someone gave you. As the Reddit wheel turns…
