Great kid but to not stop and look left to check for passing traffic was very dangerous.

No kid should be running in the street by a parking school bus, stop signs, three way intersection, driveways, etc.

Sure the buses stop sign is out, but that does cover the endless amount of ways that poor kid could get run over.

I mean .... he didn't look? right?
