In the context of immigration, "protected status" generally refers to Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which offers temporary protection from deportation and work authorization to individuals from countries facing extraordinary conditions like natural disasters or armed conflict.
Meaning: If you are in the US with protected status, you did not enter the country or continued to stay in the country illegally.

They weren’t actually legal though. They came in through a program Joe Biden made, in which American citizens would apply for people and wait for the application to be accepted.

What a loser . The last thing he mentioned is that he’s banned 69 people with some corny emojis. This dude is probably 40 years old still a virgin and can’t see his dick but he’s trying to use his mod status to maybe look cool to someone so he can send them his furry pics

They admit that you have no right to free speech in that sub and advocate for deporting (banning) unwanted people in the sub while advocating against deporting illegal immigrants from the US

Not being able to participate in online forums and being deported are not the same thing at all. Hope that helps.

So a lot of Haitians were let in and given protected status after the devastating earthquake, they were supposed to go back to Haiti, but no one did. I am sorry, "it's not safe for them in Haiti", sounds to me like another excuse for not going back.

u/Crisstti 8h ago
I mean it’s a really fucked up country. Of course they don’t want to go back there.

This is Biden's fault entirely - the President shouldn't be passing out temporary alien protection that will easily be undone by his successor in accordance with the will of the people as their will was when Biden gave protected status to Haitians.
Unfortunately he will still get brownie points from these losers - when Democrats play fast and loose with peoples' lives for PR their braindead followers actually think this is some moral act being so careless with someone's immigration status as to protect it by executive action only.
EDIT: oh, this temporary protected status was due to expire in February 3rd, 2026 but it's been bumped up to August 3, 2025. This wasn't even supposed to be permanent but it was designed to end during Trump's term so no matter what he takes the blame.

Fellow educator and member of that subreddit. They criticized trump and then have the nerve to ban everyone they disagree with. Sad part is they don’t see the irony. I’m beginning to see there are two types of educators: legitimate educators who love what they do and enjoy helping kids grow, and democratic cells who groom the next generation to follow their political ideals.

As a kind and caring teacher, why don't you move to Haiti to take care of those students? Why are you surprised that illegal immigrants get deported?

u/futuresbby 22h ago edited 21h ago
They came in legally through Joe Biden.
Haiti is literal shit. Nobody wants to be there, not even Haitians in they live in the areas occupied by gangs.

Just got banned from r/teachers for saying if you are in the country legally you don’t have to worry about being deported.

I mean if Trump started sending citizens chanting free palestine or were openly critical of Elon or him to el salvador without a trial, you would completely endorse it.

We used to call this the soft sector. We know why. I also spot a major red flag on the clueless teacher posting. He or she is clearly immature to teach seniors.

Illegal immigrants. See ya.
Alternatively - bullshit story written by a bot.

None of the 530,000 people being deported are illegal. They all came in legally through a program Joe Biden made

u/flyinghorseguy 22h ago
Oh yeah. Joe Biden in the height of his dementia had a magical power to simply imagine new laws. Hilarious. And the left call Trump an autocrat. LOL.
They are illegal and millions more will be deported. Just like during the term of Barry Big Ears. Face reality.

Not once did I mention anything about Joe being good, or bad. What’s up with your comprehension skills?
They didn’t come here illegally. What do you not get? Have you not done your own research before going and saying some pure bullshit? American citizens would apply for people, and that application would have to be accepted. This process took a week to MONTHS. Hell, even a fucking year. These people who came here legally are the ones getting deported. Why? Because Trump the ended the program.
So what do you mean illegal? Do you listen to everything your daddy Trump says? For fucks sake, say you’re gay and you want to give him head. You can block me on some pussy shit😂🤷🏾♀️

u/flyinghorseguy 22h ago
Good job letting your TDS get to you. People who came through the ports of entry legally are not being deported. The rest MUST go. Get over yourself and grow up.

I read that in the teacher sub - I am a high school teacher 🤪, but couldn't respond as I've been banned....
Anyway, they're pathetic in that sub. If they're illegal they have to go!!

Why is anyone from Haiti taking FRENCH classes?
2
u/lovelylinguist 1d ago
Haitians speak Haitian Creole, which is based on French, but has influences from other languages, as well. It's not a dialect of French.

I'm from Ohio. I know people who live in Springfield. Good riddance.
And this is a good time to remind people that "illegals have a lower crime rate than people born here!" is a complete lie unless you only count certain demographics.
Also, what bullshit to screech about them being children. They're seniors. They're either 18 or will be 18 soon. And even if they were actual children, it doesn't matter. Our border is either secure or it's not.

If their students are french speaking Hatians, the logical thing is send them to french speaking Quebec.

u/Tall-Suggestion9138 11h ago
They are NOT our children and they are not American citizens. Bleeding heart teacher. Are we suppose to except every person from any country and accept as citizens? Get real teacher, your students were here TEMPORARY. now focus on youre american citizen children...

"America needs to do better for our children" Those aren't American children. Deportation of illegals is what's best for American children. Liberals have such flawed logic.

The article you linked has provided some insight as to what Christian trump followers might believe, and/or think, but I’m still left with many questions. In the text provided, it states that God expects us to obey the laws of the government, and calls entering another country unlawfully a rebellion against God. Later in the article, it describes how many people argue against the morals surrounding immigration laws, but as the word describes in Romans13:1-7, those who resist authorities, resist god. And the article even explicitly states that even if laws were blatantly evil, Christians were instructed to obey. That’s what leaves me dumbfounded. You as good Christians are expected to help the poor and lowly people of the world, and yet when those poor and lowly people are right infront of you, being broadcasted to the masses daily, you step back and say they deserve it all because they broke rules implemented by a corrupt self serving man child, who has no interest in the lives of those who follow him. What about the obscene amounts of wealth Trump and his people hoard, and there sickening hunger for power? Do they not commit both the sin of greed and gluttony? A man who with many accusations and charges of sexual misconduct. Is that not lust? A man who’s filled anger and need for vengeance against the “woke left”. Is that not wrath? How can MAGA voters view themselves as proper Christians, when the man they worship and follow blindly is filled with sin? I used to believe in a God, but the hypocrisy of the modern American, Christian nationalists, burned any ounce of faith I once had. Is that the ultimate goal of the Trump regime? If you so choose, I ask that you reply with an honest opinionated argument, and not the simple bite back of “wokey”, or “brainwashed liberal”. Than you for your time.
