Donations: Why they matter and how I am using them.

Donations are the lifeblood of any campaign, and mine is no exception. I’m not a billionaire who can self fund our race—I’m up against a system where the wealthiest few can pour unlimited money into politics. People like Elon Musk can spend more in a day that I will earn in my entire life.

But with each and everyone of you supporting me, together, we can build a movement that puts power back in the hands of good and hard working people.

So, where does your donation go?

  1. It feeds people. At every BBQ event we host, everyone gets a plate—no matter their background, income, or beliefs. Because before we talk politics, we break bread together. My only ask? That you listen when I say: We are all people. We are all Americans. And we all deserve freedom and fair representation in our government.

  2. It gets our message out. I don’t love political ads any more than you do. But they work. They help us reach people—especially in deep-red areas—who might never otherwise hear our message of unity, fairness, and, yes, good food.

  3. It puts my name on the ballot. Running for office isn’t free, and ballot access comes at a cost. Every dollar you donate helps ensure that when Alabamians step into that voting booth, they have the choice to elect someone who truly represents them.

This campaign is about us. It’s about you.

Together we can put America back on track to being a truly great nation.

About me:

My name is Mark S. Wheeler II, and I’d like to take this opportunity to share a bit about my background and values, as well as my vision for my upcoming campaign.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville State University, where I majored in Chemistry and minored in Emergency Management.

I reside in Heflin, Alabama, at what my family and I proudly call our "forever home."

For the past decade, I have been employed in the wire manufacturing industry. During the first six years, I worked 12-hour night shifts, often exceeding 60 hours per week due to mandatory overtime. I later transitioned to a marketing role, where I spent two years while completing my bachelor's degree. Currently, I work in Research and Development, collaborating with a dedicated team to develop sustainable products and reduce environmental impacts.

I consider myself a left-leaning individual who believes that society thrives when we work together. My core values include the following:

Second Amendment Rights: I am a proponent of the Second Amendment, but I strongly believe in responsible ownership. Common-sense restrictions for individuals with a history of violence or serious mental health conditions that pose a threat to society are essential.

Universal Healthcare: I understand the economic benefits of universal healthcare and insurance. I firmly believe that implementing these policies would significantly strengthen America's workforce and economy.

Climate Responsibility: I recognize the urgent need to address climate change. We have a duty to our children and future generations to ensure clean air, safe water, and a thriving ecosystem for their growth and well-being.

Term Limits: I am an advocate for term limits for all federally elected positions.

Supreme Court justices should be limited to 18-year appointments.

Congressl should be limited to three terms.

Banning Stock Trading in Congress: I am deeply committed to enacting a constitutional amendment to ban stock trading by members of Congress. Public officials must prioritize the interests of their constituents above personal financial gain or the interests of wealthy corporations.

Above all, I am dedicated to driving results for a stronger labor economy and safeguarding the interests of everyday Americans. I hope to earn your trust and faith to act in good faith, putting your needs first and championing policies that benefit the many, not the few.

Budget reconciliation passed the Senate early this morning, avoiding the filibuster (and only needing 51 votes) by "recalculating" the expenses for extending current tax policy to $0. It was 51 to 48 with Reps. Collins and Paul voting against. If passed by House next, $5T to debt ceiling.

These people don't care.

We have a group of leaders that are selfish and only care about the here and now.

They don't care about you, or me, or our children's futures.

Everyone of them needs to be forced back into regular life and work regular jobs.

We need change....

Just a question not trying to start a debate just want some understanding.
 in  r/smoking  19h ago

I think it's a pride/preference thing.

Kind of like people wanting a bigger chicken/turkey for thanksgiving.

I have, in the past, cut butts down to make them easier and faster to smoke and had no issues with it.

I will say, bigger cuts seem moister at the end. But do take substantially longer to cook.

This order dropped literally 1 minute before close
 in  r/Dominos  1d ago

This mentality is only okay if, and only if, they is a fixed cleaning time that allows for clean up to start at 12:01.

Most places require pre-close cleaning that would be undone by this kind of order.

You can't even say "well this time they can work over the usual cleaning time". They expect to be off at a set time. They shouldn't have to extend or bend their schedules because of something like this.

My credit score is 496 and i’m 18 because my mom messed it up—can i recover from this?
 in  r/CreditScore  1d ago

OP.

I'm really sorry you're dealing with this. I have had a similar relationship with my mom.

You can look it up online if you're genuinely curious. (Look up Mark Wheeler from Alabama Candidate for US Senate against Tommy Tuberville).

I want to give you a piece of advice here that has helped me move past my family's drama and crime and become who I am today.

Make her deal with the consequences of her actions. It's not your fault she decided to do those things. It's not your fault she committed fraud.

It may be very hard for you to actively let her face legal consequences for this. But it will never stop if you don't create very hard barriers right now.

It took me a long time to finally fully separate myself from that part of my family and let them face their consequences alone. I don't give them money or attention at this point. In jail or not. Because nothing I can do, and likely nothing you can do, will ever be enough.

They have to help themselves.

I wish you the absolute best of luck in this.

Feel free to DM me directly if you need advice or to talk. .

Just remember that people in Alabama have a real chance to make a meaningful change to the US Congress in the upcoming midterms that can help fix this mess.

I'm running for Tommy Tuberville's Seat.

We need now, more than ever, to come together to start making plans to fix the garbage.

Almost.

Is this fresh cracked or from a container?

Fresh crack has bigger flavor.

Would you rather live in a progressive administration with a good economy or a conservative administration with a poor economy?
 in  r/AskConservatives  2d ago

That's... That's not the same thing.

We prohibit the manufacture of methamphetamine and a variety of other drugs because they don't have legitimate medical issues and are highly addictive. I.e. they cause more harm than good.

We limit people's ability to buy fire Arms because they have a history of violence or other similar factors. Because they can cause tremendous harm.

Please tell me how two men or women kissing is hurting other people?

This isn't something we should be policing. This is big government and government overreach.

Most liberals want to make it possible for willing people to get those things. Not force you or anyone else to.

The issue where being that conservatives, typically, want to force their views onto others who don't believe the same way.

These two issues are not the same.

The first is pro freedom.

The second is pro theocracy, or fascism, or dictatorship.

I'm doing really, really, well I'm my Senate run for Alabama.

So there's a real possibility we may see a lot of seats turn in the midterm elections.

If your thoughts on it are not based on religious beliefs, then how can you justify restricting the freedom of two other consenting adults?

You think it's weird and gross. I get that.

I think eating bugs is weird and gross.

But I'm not going to try and make a law to stop people from doing it. They are adults. We shouldn't care what they are doing in the privacy of their home.

Will the average American have more purchasing power in a future USA where everything is produced domestically?
 in  r/AskConservatives  2d ago

I mean. It will have a tremendous domino effect.

The food service industry employs hundreds of thousands of Americans.

A sudden drop in that economy will drastically impact them.

Plus derivative issues that will stem from it. Factory workers in parallel and adjacent markets, gig workers for Uber Eats or Door Dash, ect.

Remember they'd still have to sell to us. They can't just throw 50% price increases on us because we wouldn't buy the product

Except for vital necessities... Food. Water. Housing. Electricity. Ect. Increases in those things seem to have a creeping effect into small and cheap luxuries. Leisure eating, entertainment, ect.
