NTA your girlfriend is depressed. She may be using you or she may just not know yet how to take care of herself or be a partner.

She needs at least a part time job. She could even sign up for rover and give herself reasonable goal to make $50-100 a day at least few days a week. She might need to build up her network, so it might be less to start but she should at least try.

Also if she isn't sure about direction, volunteer at something that interests her and get a server or caregiving job to pay the bills. Give her clear expectations she needs to make x a month.

And yes she needs to help around the house unless of course she makes such great money at her new job she can split bills with you evenly and hire a maid to visit weekly j/k.. she still needs to grow up and do household duties.

That's a long commute! Most of us don't commute that far. NYC is the exception for many things compared to most US cities.

I assumed it wasn't an only US sub. I do think it's interesting because you're right if you're differently abled or have specific needs for WFH, US is not a good fit in general. There are some employers and some states that are more inclusive. Haha I don't think US workers are paid that well given the cost of everything. If we had enough low income housing that would help a lot but the majority of Americans expect to live in more spacious accommodations and sadly not enough builders want to invest in low income housing - too much risk. Some states are better than others when it comes to Healthcare but largely it's way to expensive for many people even if some of it is subsidized by employer.

Interesting. Most US states have at will employment so unless you can prove you have a disability that requires you to work from home it is unlikely employers will accommodate. Always exceptions but in general, they can let you go for no reason or just close the position.

Try RSO, 1:1 CBD and THC. Also if you can get your hands on it try psilocybin - micro dose to start. Both can be extremely helpful for chronic pain in different ways.
