buying one tiny thing before we close...
 in  r/retailhell  15d ago

Let me make sure I understand correctly.

Customer comes in before you close. Goes to Bakery and buys 2 small items. (likely for a solitary birthday based on what was purchased) Then even tried to use self checkout as to not inconvenience anyone. And was kind?!

How exactly does that fall into the category of 'customers suck'? It's called doing your job.

Foods that are sticks?
 in  r/Cooking  16d ago

There's a spicy Thai dish the has bamboo in it. Don't know the name, but it's a type of curry I believe. Absolutely delicious! Cool for your dinner because there's actual wood sticks (bamboo shoots) in the dish.

This is disturbing. What have we become as a society that even McDs is like "just hand them an iPad"?!

Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis and his efforts went unrecognised for 50 years. Then, in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he had rescued, who were now adults. This never gets old 🫶

The 90 day website was the first to release their maternity photos. After that it was fair game for Jasmine to go public. Crazy that this is all coming out before Last Resort finishes airing for the season!

Dear Americans. You will NEVER be forgiven.

Last time he imposed tariffs he also issued immunity to some companies, Apple being one of them. I think he's gonna use this as another money grab... kickbacks from companies to give them directed tax breaks. Just another schyst from the great schyster.
