I live in Janesville, Wisconsin and participate in campaigns and elections. It amazes me that despite all of the efforts to connect with voters (newspapers are in decline here) that there are still folks who don't know there's an election! And I'm talking about registered voters; people who are supposed to be engaged!
I knock doors because I think it's better to be face to face with my neighbors than to use text or calls... although I understand why campaigns use them.
If you don't want the door knocks, make sure your 'no soliciting' sign refers to political canvassing. 'No soliciting' suggests that you don't want siding/windows salespeople. When a canvasser is at your door, they're not selling you a product, they're participating in the democratic process and asking you to do so as well. As long as WI is a high stakes purple state, you're going to have very active campaigns.

Idk. Everyone's different. I tend to think it's just them. I'm a boomer and I relish every chance I get with my granddaughter. My friends who are grandparents seem to do the same with their grandkids . I drove 2 hrs every week for her first year and a half to babysit 1-2 days. It's been a privilege. Now I have another grandbaby on the way and this time next year, I know I'll be on baby duty at least 1 day a week. Another great part of being a GMA is seeing my own children become good parents.

Did anyone else notice that his skin had a blueish tint to it in the pictures from yesterday? Maybe it was the lighting or something, but I thought it was strange.

"Not good"? Yah, tink, Donnie? It's a TRAGEDY, a NIGHTMARE, a HORRIFIC incident not seen in this country for a very long time.

I'm a boomer. I don't understand why people get so worked up about the flag and disregard the very ideas that it's supposed to represent.
Also, was a huge Jimmy Carter supporter and yes, he was a good president. He just wasn't as good at marketing himself as one.

You're missing a few screws. They were loose and fell out.

That was horribly manipulative of him. Ya sure he's not a narcissist or personality disordered in another way? Does he let you go out with your friends? Does he check your phone? Does he bring up things from the past that you thought were settled? The proposal was a huge red flag, imo.

I have the Princess Diana Bear beanie baby. I wonder what that's worth? LoL

Yeah...like there's no mythology in the Bible.

Wait, what? Is it because he's going to be too busy pardoning J6 rioters?

Miscarriages will be 2nd degree, then?

So I'll play along, and pretend that this really happened. The person who talked to him is probably a couple of years away from retirement looking for a way to get out early. Or, they're trying to save their ass by kissing his!

True. When you're deemed property....your insolence toward them and disdain for them is enough. Gives new meaning to #imenough, doesn't it?

I've gone to doors with "No Soliticing" signs and have asked the resident if it means 'no canvassing'. So far, everyone I've asked has said it was targeted toward salespeople. Those that include "no canvassing" on their doors, do not get a knock from me.
