Question ls this contam? Newbie here need second opinion

Post image

Hey folks, beginner here. I made an agar plate using boiled potato water for nutrients, so that's why the agar looks brownish. I used this plate once to inoculate some grain jars, but they eventually went bad. Now I'm wondering if the agar was contaminated to begin with. To me it seems like there might be something off, but l'm still very new to this and not confident in identifying contams yet. Any help or second opinions would be much appreciated!

I see you have a question! Have you read the official cultivation guide?

You can also do agar plates and wait 3-4 days before proceeding with further steps, if nothing changes than you agar came out right ! , what else did you use in the agar recipe? Personally i wouldn’t work with brown agar !

Alright, will give it a try. In my agar recipe I used just agar powder and water from boiled potatoes to extract nutrients (I couldn't find LME locally). also added a bit of brown sugar to help speed up colonization.
