Question Potency

In the growing guide, it says that when pins start to form, they already contain almost all the cells of the mushroom but are not yet inflated by water. Does this mean smaller mushrooms are more potent per gram?

If by smaller, you mean harvested before over-maturity, then yes!

Some mushroom genetics will produce really small mushrooms, even when they're mature (open veils, dropped spores).

The most potent-per-gram you can get is a bunch of pins harvested early. I would warn anyone before trying a dose of dehydrated pins -- they will be WAY more potent per gram than mature mushrooms!

That’s very interesting. I can’t stand the taste so eating a small amount of tiny mushrooms might be easier. Thank you

Yeah I have a friend that won’t eat the pins for whatever reason he doesn’t like the way they look lol he trades me and I have yet to tell him that I am winning 😂
