Joe Rogan breaks with Trump, calling Venezuelan deportations ‘horrific’

In the same episode, he suggested pro-Palestinian protests at US universities had been paid for, and suggested that people were being paid to protest against Tesla.
But Rogan argued that conducting deportation operations recklessly would cost Trump supporters.
“If you want compassionate people to be on board with you, you can’t deport gay hairdressers seeking asylum – that’s fucking crazy – and then throw them in an El Salvador prison,” he said."

I was soooo pumped to hear him say that. He has a huge fan base, so this is going to have a effect. People are turning on him and its marvelous

Im with ya but I wouldn’t say this isn’t exactly non-endorsement of Trump. More of a playing both sides the fence kinda deal and just being a bit devils advocate on a particular policy that could make sense to both sides. Unless I hear him truly saying that Trump wasn’t the best pick then all I hear is, “Well that might’ve not been the best play but I’m still onboard with the team.” His fan base will probably see it that way more than likely too. I could be wrong though (Hope I am) and this could be more of a crack beginning to form in his support.

That makes sense and I see what you’re saying. I just think someone like Rogan coming out and saying something Trump did was a mistake is impactful to a crowd that would normally NEVER admit something Trump did was a mistake. But I suspect a lot of them are thinking it right now, and someone “on their team” who they look up to giving them permission to disagree with Trump could very well be the first crack in the facade. Because now maybe they can also admit they don’t agree with classified info being discussed on Signal, and they don’t agree with some of the federal line items he is cutting…and so on. And I think that’s the first step toward them breaking off from MAGA, and ultimately voting against MAGA candidates. It’s possible they are total sheep and don’t have the critical thinking skills or courage to go against MAGA on other things. But a lot of what Trump is doing is CLEARLY WRONG and people have a limit to the amount of cognitive dissonance they can choke down. At least normal people do.😄 That might not be true for deplorable garbage people; they may fundamentally not care about policies making sense or being blatantly wrong as long as it “owns the libs”. And honestly they may not even know what other bonkers unconstitutional horrors he is up to because Fox News is lying to them.
