Trump skipping the dignified transfer of the American soldiers who died in Lithuania to go golfing, after crashing the market on the worst day for the US economy since 2020.

He despises us veterans so much. We are the peasants who didn't have anything better to do than serve the country.

I reflect a lot on this right here. I joined a week after 9/11 and often look back as to what motivated me to join. A sense of duty? A sense of patriotism?
Was it though? I’d argue that I feel more strongly about what is happening now, than what I did back then. I feel more Patriotic now in preserving what and who is left, rather than seek revenge for what has been done by someone else.
I hurt for those that still serve. The impossible decisions they face under unthinkable pressures.
To me, the one thing that’s much clearer now post retirement:
The stark difference between Patriotism, and Nationalism…too bad it took me through so much loss to grasp this simple concept

Count it as a win that you did realize it. Too many people don’t. People love to wave a flag and say that they’re patriotic, but refuse to care for their fellow countrymen and women at all. That’s not patriotism; that’s worshiping a piece of cloth.
I’m friends with a dual-mil couple and one of their friends was giving them a hard time about not flying a flag, no flags displayed at home, etc, and asked where their patriotism was. The she of the couple said, “we both put uniforms on every day; that’s where our patriotism is.”
Actions are what count.

Emphasis on the cadet to drive home that he only played soldier at a military prep school and was too much of a coward to actually be one.

I knew he wouldn't be there to see these soldiers home. He said as much during his last presidency.

What a monumental piece of shit he is. Like, you think we'd be used to that fact by now, but still he finds a new low to sink to.

✅ $5 Trillion on the markets in two days ✅ Fellow Service Members Dying ✅ Tornadoes and Power Outages ✅ Destroy 100 years of global trade
What does he do? Quiver about the interest rate, and some dude in Vietnam (most haven’t even heard of) just to rattle the market…carry on its Tee Time somewhere

Are we surprised? Did he even acknowledge the Soldiers while they were searching for them? Or did he consider them suckers or losers for getting lost to begin with?
When he needs to look like he cares he will do some performative BS to placate the masses. Such bullshit.
