I even do this with things I WANT to do. Like watch a certain video or movie or play a game. It's frustrating as fuck for me and I get pissed at myself all the time for doing it.

I don't even bother trying to do sidequests in a videogame if I'm not on meds.

Breath of the Wild was me running around in circles picking fruit.

one of the funny things about ADHDers is that many of them enjoy video games.

Ask them how many they've beaten (to completion. games have changed since I was a young lad)

=)

I beat the majority of them but I like really rigid and linear games more. Favorite ones are FEAR, Soma, Inside and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Haven't beaten Inquisition yet though...

It's possible you have some depression thrown into the mix, which is really common with ADHD.
