Stock rallies because Elon included in administration. Stock rallies because Elon out of administration.

Let’s be honest, this market hasn’t been tethered to reality in years lol

Feels like everyday I wake up and go “this doesn’t make any sense.”

I bought some at around 41 and dumped it at 46.5 this morning after how shitty the numbers were because I knew it was gonna fly. That’s what pros like me do.

What pros like me also do is fuck up the wash sale rule so my shit is all fucked up. 30 fucking days…

The market as a whole could be debated that is a bit too optimistic, assuming that Nvidia will be able to stay the #1 with everyone spending like crazy to but the chips is unreasonable.

That said, tesla is not a case like this. It is valued with the assumption that it will somehow invented something that isn't even close for them to get there and will revolutionize the world.

There is a big difference between "assume #1 company will continue to dominate" and "failing company will come up with a few inventions that will change the world with zero evidence"

13

u/Tigglebee 3d ago

They don’t even need to do that. Just read Reddit. People believe he cut 1T in taxes. He can just tell them he built an AI jerk off machine and they’ll pay for shares at 500 p/e.

Word on the street is there is going to a surprise product drop for an AI robotic dick sucking toaster.

Elon says its going ship in Q4 and sell better than the bible and television combined.

Bull run basically guaranteed.

Okay this gives me serious supervillain vibes. Have y'all seen Cybermen from Doctor Who? They were created by a rich tech guy trying to evolve humanity.

Is there a genuine need for digital “super-intelligence”?

What is it?

Why?

To provide rich ignorant individuals with information others spent years if not lifetimes working on?

What remains for humanity?

4

u/Cute-War-4115 3d ago

It’s his PIVOT message.

6

u/mmcmonster 3d ago

The only need I see for a super-intelligence (SI) is to offload all the thinking to it. With the SI moving humanoid and non-humanoid robots around and humans living in a post-scarcity world.

The problem with it is that SI will probably lead to a few people with all the resources and the rest of us starving in caves.

Future's gonna be grim. :-/

Newsmax is currently worth $11.xx billion, not 20.

That article is an April fools “joke.”

*It’s now April 2, so for extra clarity (in case it wasn’t clear enough), note that the beautiful carriage turned back into a pumpkin at midnight. Though, somehow (which has never been clear to me), a glass slipper remains — so maybe the headline will be usable in the future after all. But not today.

Tesla trading at car company P/E is like an 80 dollar stock.

A trillion of its valuation is paying upfront for "world changing technological advancement on the scale of the industrial revolution" so investors are just kinda waiting for whatever that means to happen.

They can’t. It would be idiotic to oust him. The stock is propped up by him. It will crater without him.

They are in a situation where the stock will slowly decay/return to proportion, or oust him and crater it immediately. They would definitely pick a slow decline than a sudden one.

Unironically yes, they might as well stop calling it Tesla stock and start calling it "how much faith I have in Elon Musk's future endeavors" stock.  Any investor who respects fundamentals jumped ship a while ago.  If you're still in its because you believe in Musk or it's a part of your pension/401k.

9

u/Ewenf 3d ago

So I looked it up and basically he invested in amex when wall street had fucked then down for 8 months because AMEX's main profitable partner was discovered to be a fraudulent vegetable oil company. But the use of amex on main street didn't change, so he put 17 millions in it, by the late 60s their stock has doubled while the Dow fell by 6 point.

It's fucking insanity, compare Tesla to Ford, very identical revenue, except Tesla is continuing dropping in sales, their growth is negative, yet they're trading 20-30x Ford. WHY. This company based off its financials should be trading at 20$ MAX per share. This isn't even me being a Tesla hater, that's just what the numbers say. I don't get it.

Nothing goes up or down in a straight line. Stocks don’t go down just because ppl short it. They go down from ppl capitulating. And capitulation takes time to happen.

You need a period of distribution from big holders and a lack of buyers to step up to cause a downturn. Smart money is definitely exiting slowly.

Tesla is probably cooked but it will take sometime for things to show up.

Why is this "news" good though?

98

u/RoundMammoth2947 3d ago

Beats me but the stock must go up

83

u/plznodownvotes 3d ago

Because he'd "focus" more on TSLA - granted he literally has 3-4 other ventures, so how much more focused can he really be now that he won't be at the imaginary dept of retardation? That is, also, if he's ACTUALLY stepping down, or if he's still going to be the shadow puppeteer

If anything you want him focusing less on Tesla, you get the cyber truck when he focuses more.

3

That only works if he can turn it around next quarter, which he won’t. Eventually the drop in sales will impact operations enough that they will start producing less and that will be the death blow.

I think this story is just the excuse to justify the stock move after the fact. The rumors about Musk leaving DOGE have been floating around for a few weeks now, and have been used to justify TSLA going back up a couple of times now. Something else is going on that is a lot fishier and probably a lot more illegal.

There were already reports that he was going to step away and everyone knew the numbers were going to be bad.

2

u/TinyTowel 3d ago

Could it be that Señor Musk is realizing that his team wealth, the shit he actually cares about, is being put in jeopardy due to his foray into politics and now he's trying to protect that? Is it possible that he misunderstood how popular he was or why anyone liked him to begin with? It should be obvious to anyone that this DOGE fuckery was a bad move and that he didn't have the mandate he thought he did, a common problem with egotists. And maybe now it's obvious to him.

Or maybe this is all just rumor and not real at all.

Michael Burry responded to my craigslist ad looking for someone to mow my lawn. "$30 is $30", he said as he continued to mow what was clearly the wrong yard. I was able to sneak a peek and he was browsing Zillow listings in central Wyoming. He wouldn't stop cackling.

That is to say, Burry has his fingers in a lot of pies. He makes sure his name is in all the conversations.

That is the only thing that will boost this stock. I shorted for a few days and got out. TSLA is way too unpredictable right now since it is driven by hype and retail. So now it is time to buy calls? Then short once we know the extent of the global demand damage?

They were going to give everyone a drug test so he decided it was time to go!

isn't Musk's bat shitness the whole reason it's down in the first place? how is this good lol

u/themastermatt 3d ago

He can leave the planet, still not buying his car.

At this point, the smarter move - or, atleast, the better one for the company - would be leaving Tesla.

Brand damage is permanent

This ship has sailed. He’s toxic waste now to 40+% of Americans and even larger percentages internationally.

He’s gotta leave Tesla.

It's an emotional support stock now for fragile right wing egos. When you realize that you understand it's stock price isn't tied to reality

The stock going up because of news of the CEO being removed is peak stupid. Of course he should be removed, but why isn't this stock down 90% yet?

This was known about last week...

u/ClevelandDrunks1999 3d ago

Tesla bears in shambles

3

u/SignificantGlove9869 3d ago

Because CNBC said so.

CNBC has no clue why stocks go up or down. They just come up with something, anything.

u/AdminsCanSuckMyDong 3d ago

Weird that this information is coming out right around the time Tesla just had a bad announcement on the number of cars shipped.

The damage is already done. Most people against TSLA don't care what he does now. People aren't gonna be flocking to dealerships to buy because he resigned.

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 3d ago

So, stock manipulation then...not that there are laws anymore.

There's always s narrative, but nearly everything sharply rose at the same time. Tesla is a meme stock, it generally moves with the market

u/asault2 3d ago

Trump needs America to focus on more important things like invading our friends and trade wars

2

u/AvisIgneus 3d ago

You see Musky? All you had to do was stay in your fucking lane.

2

u/nic_haflinger 3d ago

That’s some “interesting” timing on announcing his departure - the same day Tesla ‘s lower sales get reported.

2

u/RoundLikeSpheal 3d ago

This is just another rise before the fall. I'm not moving from PUTS after already getting it right the first time on this sinking ship

2

u/FaleBure 3d ago

Such a obvious planted "leak".

2

u/coldshowervent 3d ago

Dude you can see him selling you out in fucking technicolor but they use dumb motherfuckers think he gives a fuck about them It's great our country is going to shit and I got to sit here and watch it go to shit around me.

2

u/danis1973 3d ago

Adorable. As if the civil disobedience and protests are going to stop due to a fake, or real stepping down. This is permanent until Tesla is out of business. Companies run other companies out of business daily and it's called capitalism. No reason consumers can't put a company out of business too. The Tesla brand is now permanently associated with Trumpian oligarchy and that genie cannot be put back into the bottle.

5

u/AVNMechanic 3d ago

It rise today is actually from the april fools facebook post saying Warren Buffet is buying tesla for $1T cash.

3

u/markpreston54 3d ago

how would musk leaving DOGE help Tesla.

Joining DOGE already incurred a big reputational damage, I would supposed he should at least make something out of it

3

u/MosskeepForest 3d ago

The damage is done, the fallout globally will continue for him and the country for a long time...

Turns out when you go power mad and reveal your true self, people don't like it and will remember....
