Studying Electrical and computer engineering

Hello everyone I’m an incoming freshman this fall and was wondering how the engineering program is and what classes I should take to really get a good experience and education for my major. And I was also wondering how everyone’s experience is with a job search or internship opportunities at Wayne state.

-ALSO please let me know a good computer for my major!!!

Youll know what classes to take when you go to orientation in the summer. If you mean what electives you should take I say just experiment. For example this semester I took photography for shits and giggles. The semester after the next I plan on taking blacksmithing. Just look online for a class list and see what you’re interested in

No problem. And for the computer… like I said Im a comp sci major so I don’t know exactly you guys would be doing and what software youd run, but Just make sure it has a lot of storage. That is, if you’re planning on having it all 4 years. I have a Dell XPS 15 and its pretty good, battery life is ass though. Any Laptop will do tho

as someone who is preparing to go into ECE next year at wayne too but has somewhat of a background in computer hardware, as a little exposure to the major i highly recommend doing general research of computer hardware that are the selling points in laptops (CPUs, RAM, GPUs, lcd monitors). that way you'll have a better understanding of what you're buying and how much you should spend for your computer needs :)
